JD (Hardware Profile)

As a member of the electronics team, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development,
architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting power-electronics circuits and systems. You will join a
team dedicated to raising the standards for battery management systems and contribute to their
continuous improvement. You will help build robust electronics impervious to the hostility of various
applicative environment. At ION you will have the opportunity to make lithium-ion batteries safer,
more efficient, and basically help the world tackle one of its biggest challenges: Energy storage.

What you will do:

- Design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high power electronics
systems.
- Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design,
prototype, and manufacturing.
- Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test
engineers.
- Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design, and insulation
coordination.
 
This is you: 

B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Electronics and Electronics Engineering

- Experience in EDA tools like Autodesk EAGLE/Altium Designer/OrCAD/PADS for Schematic
Capture and PCB Design
-  Familiar with selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and
their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies)
-  Familiar with circuit simulation tools (SPICE/Multisim)
-  Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design, and insulation
coordination
-  Fluent with Hardware Architecture decision making, specification definition
-  Strong fundamentals of high power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes),
gate drive and protection circuit design
-  Collaborate with FW engineering team to successfully to design, validate and deploy systems
-  Basic knowledge of coding in Embedded C, Python
-  Fluent in English, ability to communicate with foreign teammates
