 Locating boiler room

The floor plan in which the boiler room and its elements are located, should be drawn in 1/50
or 1/100 scale. An example of boiler room placement is shown in Figure 2 and 4.

 Boiler room design for fire safety

The door of boiler room shall not be opened directly to an escape stair or to a common stair
and shall be connected to a common hallway or corridor before an exit.

 DETERMINATION OF APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS AND INSTALLATION OF

HEATERS

Heaters are chosen from Table 5, Table 6, Table 7 and Table 8. Required section number
of heaters are found by dividing the room’s heating load by the chosen heater’s sectional
heating power (from tables). This calculation is made for all spaces for a normal floor plan.
Example for the installation of heaters is shown in Figure 3 and 5.
