Notes : 1) Design in accordance with ASME VIII Div.2 8) The maximum torsional moment refers to the dry friction coefficient between the hub-clamp,
2) This report is automatically generated by the Calculation Software coated seal ring and the maximum residual bolt load
3) Max. external loads refer to the rated pressure 69 MPa @ 130 °C 9) Min./ Max Design Temperature : -29/+130 °C
and calculated based on ASTM A694 Gr. F60 properties. 10) Design Max. Pressure : 69 MPa
4) The bending moment has been considered without the axial force 11) BW ends in accordance to ASME B16.25
5) The axial force has been considered without the bending moment 12) Bolt length for size ≥ 1.1/4" is suitable for tensioning tool equipment
6) See graph for linear interpolation of load acting simultaneously 13) All the hubs are of Non-Recessed type
7) Corrosion Allowance = 0 mm

GRAPH OF THE ALLOWABLE AXIAL FORCE AND BENDING MOMENTS Date: 11/11/2019
IN COINCIDENTAL CONDITIONS REV.: 2
GALPERTI ENGINEERING
and FLOW CONTROL
The maximum values of bending moment and axial force that are provided for each size of each piping class are calculated
as the loads that the clamped connection can withstand separately, but in conjunction with internal pressure and torsion at
maximum design temperature. The bending moment has been therefore determined without the axial force, and vice versa.

When the two external loads act at the same time, linear interpolation between the maximum values is used
for intermediate loads as shown in the graph here below.
