5.3 Foreign buyer request for quotation


a) Enquiry
The buyer feels the AQUATITE range is the most suitable for this region. They
also want to receive the quotation for man and woman’s coat in both small and
medium sizes with delivered cif Alexandria. They would order for 100 raincoats
for 4 quantities in 4 weeks

The suppliers insist again that this product if suitable for tropical climate. They

6.6. Acknowledgement of a first order
The suppliers receive the order of 18th June. They confirm the supply of prints at
the prices started and they are arranging for despatch by delivery vehicles early

a) Breakdown in production

6.8 Supplier refuses price reduction
The supplier carefully considered the buyer counter-proposal but they can’t
approve it. The quoted price is too low. The supplier wrote that the price iss lower

the offer. They also hope it will not prevent the buyers from approaching them on
future occasions.
