 Wear the proper clothing and attire – In France wearing pajamas in mall is a big no
and also with bare shoulders and flip flops, you can't go in to a synagogue. So, it’s
good to wear comfortable clothes but do know about people’s preferences there.
 Keep controversial opinions to yourself.
 Learn some of the language & lingo – In Netherlands shouting for greeting is
considered rude while in Greece nodding your head is considered impolite. So, it’s
better to learn about these things in advance.
 Do not litter.
 Mind your manners in restaurants and also know about the tipping where you are
traveling, as in some places it might be expected but in some places it might be
offensive.
 Be polite, respectful and thankful.
 Respect other cultures and learn about local customs.
 Be careful with gestures - you have to keep in mind that gestures are interpreted in
different ways depending on the country you are in.
 Respect other people’s personal space.
 Be mindful while taking pictures you might unknowingly disturb people around you
while photographing.
