For example:
Christine plans to give her mother a blouse for her birthday. She has already
saved ₱ 80. The blouse that she plans to buy costs ₱ 180. How much more
does she need to save to be able to buy the blouse?

₱ 80 – amount Christine already saved
₱ 180 – amount needed to buy the blouse
B. What is asked?
How much more does she need to save to be able to buy the blouse?
C. What is the operation to be used?
Subtraction
D. What is the number sentence? ₱180 - ₱ 80 = n (number)
E. What is the solution?
₱ 180
-₱ 80
₱ 100
F. What is the complete answer?
Christine needs to save ₱100 more to be able to buy the blouse for her
mother.
