Teachers

Reflection Questions:
• After answering and going through the outputs of your co-teachers, what do you
think are the adjustments that the teachers need to make in lesson planning?
• What are the steps that you and your department/subject area teachers can do to
assist/guide them through these changes? What are the changes you need to make
as a Master Teacher/Head Teacher as you lead your group through these changes?
• If there is a curriculum initiative by your region or division, such as developing the
Budget of Work per subject area that is based on the MELCS, how will you guide
teachers in bridging the connection of MELCS and this sample initiative?

Reflection
1.Based on the outputs submitted by my co teachers and the collaborative efforts
they exerted while doing sample of this unpacking of Most Essential Learning
Competencies, I can say that since the teachers know how to unpack Different
Competencies, they may also know different adjustment they should do to reach
the learners’ mind. Strictly the same in lesson planning, it requires ample time in
thinking, polishing and evaluating for as to achieve best results for the benefit of
our learners.
2.Collaborative learning and shared responsibilities of positive-minded and work-
oriented teachers is an essence in facing different challenges encountered in our
changing and uncontrolled environment. We, as Master Teachers must be the best
example for them with the guide of ” Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno”
Magtatrabaho nang Tama at lampas sa itinakdang oras kung Kinakailangan”. If all
of us possess these traits then , we will win the battle in Education.
3.If there is a curriculum initiative by your region or division I think I should take into
consideration the needs, resources and assignment of every teachers which was of
course be consolidated through better communication and proper scheduling of
meetings. Lastly, I will ask the assistance of the school head so that that the
curriculum matched the content and instructional strategies adaptable to every
learners by taking into consideration the learners’ individual differences in
planning and implementation as well.

3A - Lesson Design and List of targeted learning interventions + Learning tasks for
Assessment in the Modalities DL + Assessment methods in DL (optional but highly
recommended)

Reflection Questions:

• How can these lists of interventions help the teachers teach better in the new
learning delivery modality? Why is it important for every teacher in your team to have
them?
• What are the challenges in developing learning tasks in a Distance Learning
environment? What key competencies would you need to assist teachers in?
• What is the difference in assessing students in between traditional and Distance
Learning modalities? How can you guide teachers in bridging these gaps?

Reflection
1. Based on the teachers’ output presented, these suggest that different
teachers have different styles and strategies in order to cope up with this
new normal learning environment which is based also in the learning
areas they are teaching. These interventions that the teachers may use
means that the teachers are equipped and well verse to what they should
do with this new learning modalities.
2. There are many challenges faced in a Distance Learning. These
includes quality of instructions; the physical absence of the teacher
means that they may not be available to guide or support the student
when they need them most. Also, they can meet the teacher only when
they are online, or thru text messaging. Secondly, misuse of technology
may takes place when the teacher is not around. Also, the funding of
distance learning is more expensive because of the modules and activity
sheets to be printed and also those who have load and internet access
can participate in the Distance Learning.
* There are key competencies we need to assist teachers in DL such as
Collaboration and Planning Skills. Competencies are the skills and
knowledge that enable a teacher to be successful in the delivery and
sharing of his expertise.
3. Distance learning provides an exceptional opportunity as it affords the
flexibility they need to be successful. Likewise, distance learning does
have some inherent problems in the abused of the used of technology
and lost of discipline.

3A - Lesson Design and Weekly Home Learning Plan
Assessment in the Modalities

Reflection Questions:

• What makes the Weekly Home Learning Plan essential to the process of Teaching
and Learning in the new modality? What are the essential elements of the weekly
Home Learning Plan will you need to look for?

Reflection
Weekly Home Learning Plan is essential to the Teaching ang Learning process in this new
modality because this will serve as an aid for the students and the parents as well, on what
to do every hour each day, what competencies to give focus, what learning task in each
subject and how to process it. In this WHLP, every teachers are also liable of what the
students must do each day. If the WHLP in every subject will be properly used by the
students with the continuous follow up of the parents/guardians, subject teachers and
advisers, students will not be in a cramming situation. The following are the essential
elements of the WHLP: day and time, Learning Competency, Learning Tasks and the Mode
of Delivery.

Assessment in the Modalities

Reflection Questions:

• As a Master Teacher/ Head Teacher, how can you help the teachers in assisting the
students who are lagging behind? If all measures have been exhausted by the
teachers and still a certain set of students are still not performing well with the new
learning modality, what are the steps you shall take to guide teachers in addressing
this matter?

Reflection
If all measures have been exhausted by the teachers and still a certain set of
students are still not performing well with the new learning modality, The following
steps can be of great help:
1. Tell them that you are sacrificing and shifting your schedule to your family, and to
the rest of the classmates just to deal with the hardest situation that we are suffering
today and tell them that the changes is part of life.
2. By being humane, casual and lighthearted somehow may help too.
3. By helping them reactivate their memory through reteaching and help them feel
that you are part of his/her life that’s why you want them to learn. Sending private
messages somehow may help.
4. The most important is that by asking our students on how we can help them.
5. Create a space were we can hear the voice and insights of our students where
they can feel free and comfortable because we don’t know the feelings of our
students because we are not in their shoes and we can’t see their situation at
home. If they are surrounded by all household chores left by their working
parents.

3B – Learning Resources Two (2) accomplished LR Rapid Assessment Tools with
reflections

Reflection Questions:

• Given the abrupt changes that happened to the learning situation in our country due
to the pandemic, what can you do to help build the learning resources for both
teachers and students in your school?

Reflection
With this sudden and unexpected changes in the learning situation in
the country brought about by Pandemic , as teachers we should help build the
learning resources to our learners. Like for example, by sending messages to our
students that reminds them that we are still there for them even without in the four
corner of the classroom, by showing compassion, kindness and patience in
entertaining all their questions for them to do all the assigned task even without
our presence in the classroom. We should also share to them that the ability to
instruct effectively depends on the appropriate skills and capacity to adapt to the
new context, while continuing to interact and effectively engage with learners.
We should also acknowledge the unique constraints of home-based
learning because if not we have no job at all and our family will suffer also.

after discussion during LAC)

Reflection Questions:

• How can I help further assist/guide the development of competencies of the teachers
in my department?

Reflection
As a Master Teacher I can assist/guide the development of
competencies of the teachers in my department by creating an effective
learning environment, in way that they may not feel shy and aloof to approach to
me when they needed me most. By sharing my expertise to my colleagues, by
sharing plans and designs that I used to create a memorable learning experiences,
by helping them develop professionalism but not greedy to the promotion. Also, by
giving follow -up on the On-going Assessment to Monitor Students’ Learning,
weaknesses and development particularly in the academic performance.

Conclusion (State the overall impact or lesson learned)

In the implementation of this LDM2,We refreshed ourselves on how to

unpack the MELCs, New Learning Interventions and new Assessment methods to
be used to different Learners in Distance Learning.
In this new normal, we are surrounded by change. Change beyond our
control, that the only thing we can do is to embrace the change and go for it. We,
teachers, come to think of it, often says that we want face to face but still acceptance
in the new normal setting is the best remedy to make things easier with the aid of
collaboration and shared responsibilities of parents/guardians and teachers for the
benefit of the learners.
Also, in the Distance Learning, grades may cause frustrations to students
whose academic performance may suffer due to factors that are out of their control,
especially to those learners who have no one to guide at home.
In dealing with colleagues, my patience in waiting for the submission of
the output is also tested, the interest in joining, listening and participating in the
discussion. That’s why, since it is online LAC SESSION, I made my own strategy
on how I can encourage my attendees to participate and let them think that they
are part of it and therefore they should play an important role for the success of it.
With this, I always bear in mind that ” All the flowers of tomorrow are in
the seeds of today”.
