2. This document will serve as your main output for the LDM2 Course.
However, it is optional, but highly recommended that you also submit
your own work from the LDM2 Course to give context to your
reflections.

 After answering and going through the outputs of your co-teachers, what do you
think are the adjustments that the teachers need to make in lesson planning?
 What are the steps that you and your department/subject area teachers can do to
assist/guide them through these changes? What are the changes you need to
make as a Master Teacher/Head Teacher as you lead your group through these
changes?
 If there is a curriculum initiative by your region or division, such as developing
the Budget of Work per subject area that is based on the MELCS, how will you
guide teachers in bridging the connection of MELCS and this sample initiative?

Reflection

 After answering and going through the outputs of your co-teachers, what do
you think are the adjustments that the teachers need to make in lesson
planning?
Answer:

Life as a Teacher is full of challenging especially we are facing pandemic in


this New Normal Education. As a LAC Leader and a Master Teacher of our society it
is a big deal to give technical assistance to my Araling Panlipunan Teachers in
preparing lesson plans. They must be updated of the skills, content , knowledge and
attitudes towards work to make lesson more meaningful to real life settings of the
learners.
-They must well-understood and embraced the reality of LDM platforms to
ensure quality learning outcomes and make necessary adjustment.

-Every teacher, we should embrace this LDM2 LAC Sessions to become


more equip in handling a new normal class. Everyone must be prepared in
embracing this kind of changes for the benefits of our learners who are our
primary concern. I realized that we should be more flexible in different type of
learning modalities to ensure that we could sustain learning among learners.
This kind of challenge will test among teachers the ability to cope up different
situation in teaching. Moving forward in time of crisis.

-They must be informed with knowledge on how to prepare lesson based


on learning delivery modalities. Teachers need to adjust and seek technical
assistance on how to implement weekly home learning plan and to address the
needs of the learners through the use of individual monitoring plan.
What are the steps that you and your department/subject area teachers can do to
assist/guide them through these changes? What are the changes you need to make
as a Master Teacher/Head Teacher as you Lead your group through these
changes?
Answer:
Adaptation in the New Normal Education, as LAC Leader my first step is to have a
learning ActionCell about the critical content of Araling Panlipunan subject from
grade 7-10 , 2nd step impart the different strategies on how to handle classroom
setting with the use of technology, lastly, the motivational skills, attitude to make
lessons in real life setting more meaningful. Encourage teaching in this new
normal ,take extra effort or patience from time to time, working together and
listening to their feedback, building a rapport an identify the difficulty of teachers in
this situation, assisting their needs to make them good teacher. We have to show our
love and concern for the benefit of our students.
-This pandemic really changes the way the normal education does. These
challenges pose a challenge to master teacher and head teachers in giving technical
assistance to teacher. The assistance on teacher in using technology is very
important particular on virtual meetings and work from home activities wherein the
use of technology is important. As a master teacher I need a patience for those in
need of technical assistance on technology , some teachers resist change, the
acceptance of reality is really painful to accept for those who are not flexible in this
real world.

- I need to embrace the reality first so that I can face the challenges as
technical assistance coach. I need to adopt to current situation and equip myself with
knowledge and skills through webinars, research and asking to help other teachers
by giving technical assistance with regards to pedagogical methods and other
concerns in line with my field of specialization.

-Another changes I need to adjust is the adoption of technology in my daily task


because, the use of technology is very important as a tool to assist teachers like
giving updates like templates for new task and conducting virtual meeting in google
meet. As of now, every move needs technology, high tech cellphone is a basic tool in
order to adjust in this new normal.

-The last change in my life is the acceptance of reality that more work, task,
deadline to meet, lots of module checking, more report to pass, more monitoring
plans and many others task that will pressure my human body. In this case I need to
embrace it all so that I will be mentally, psychologically, and
physically prepared to meet these challenges.

-The soon as I accept change and adopt it, the easier it become for my
teachers to accept and adopt change. Change is evitable, all we need is to
accept it, and adjust to it and enjoy the benefits of it because it is life in this
tough time. We have the opportunity to show our love for educating learners
the best we can.

If there is a curriculum initiative by your region or division, such as developing the Budget of
Work per subject area is based on the MELCS, how will you guide teachers in bridging the
connection of MELCS and this sample initiative?
Answer:

If there is a curriculum initiative done by the regional office or division


about budget of work in Araling Panlipunan, it is inspiring In our part as
mentors, wherein we used the MELCS in our lesson that make easier for
us to let our students knowledgeable meaningful citizen of our society. As
we prepare lesson based on learning delivery modalities, teachers need to
adjust and seek technical assistance on how to implement weekly home
learning plan and to address the needs of the learners through the use of
individual monitoring plan. Need to follow up learners difficulties in
answering the modules. My araling Panlipunan Teachers should be equip
and guided on unpacking and conbining MELCS so that learning objective
will be achieved. I will monitor my Araling Panlipunan Teachers to
ensure quality instruction to be delivered among learners. Planning what
are the most important objective is the key frame in achieving goal of every
individual.

Araling Panlipunan Teachers must have their learning competency in


their area of specialization. In building the connection with regards to
budget of work, I need to take initiatives like conducting LAC sessions on
Mapping of the essential and desirable learning skills needed to prepare
students for essential learning competencies and; Analysis of the
interconnectedness of prerequisite knowledge and skills among the learning
competencies for each in Araling Panlipunan subject.

-As a master teacher I will monitor teachers and give technical


assistance on MELC’S concerns so that it will ensure the quality instructions
to be delivered among learners. The most essential learning competency
must be will understood by all teachers in my department.

Reflection Questions:
 How can these lists of interventions help the teachers teach better in the new
learning delivery modality? Why is it important for every teacher in your team to have them?

Reflection

 How can these lists of interventions help the teachers teach better in the new learning
delivery modality? Why is it important for every teacher in your team to have them?
Answer:
Learners is the first priority in this situations wherein we need the different interventions so that
EDUCATION must continue despite of the hindrances as we experiences. I as a lead person in my team
should have a collaborative teamwork, learned more to managed using variety of approaches. In order to
track those students who are not successful in accomplishing their modules on time or rather say they did
not answer mostly the activities in the module. It is very important that every teacher in my team have a list
of interventions so that we can have a plan or determine the best methods to address our students’ needs.
-This list of interventions provide the different kind of learners that needs education despite of different
situation in life in this pandemic.. The intervention will not be materialized without the help of parents,
stakeholder and community. Internal and external factors of the community should go hand and hand to
ensure the success of this endeavour.

. The intervention must be specific, measurable and attainable. My teachers are aware of what to do when
the need arises. Identifying the needs with corresponding intervention assures that the quality of learning
will be attained.

- As a master teacher, I need to get involve to bridge the gap if the needs arise.

 What are the challenges in developing learning tasks in a Distance Learning environment?
What key competencies would you need to assist teachers in?

-Our situations in Cotabato City National High School-Main Campus is very challenging in a distance
learning through the use of printed materials particularly the modular learning specially when one of our
faculty member got positive result of covid 19,we home quarantine ourselves and fear of we will be
affected of virus in the furure. We have to set our minds of not worrying and be positive that EDUCATION
must go on and offer to the almighty GOD all the fears and worrying circumstances. This is very challenging
because of lack of internet connection capability of the learner to supplement the learning. So our school
reproduce a module to be used but it is not enough because some student don’t answer the module
honestly. Some do not understand and need interventions. We need to give activity sheets to fill the gap. I
need to assist my co-teachers In giving them appropriate plan for intervention suited to the learners need.

-The key competencies that I need to provide for assisting teachers is on development of quality modules,
activities based on MELC’S, and assessment tool rubrics. I also need to give assistance in developing activity
sheets for students that are lag behind. Communication skills of teachers for parents must be enhanced to
support and monitor learning outcomes.
 What is the difference in assessing students in between traditional and Distance Learning
modalities? How can you guide teachers in bridging these gaps?

-Traditional Learning takes place in schools takes place in schools where students are provided with
learning opportunities in a face to face manner where the teacher and learner/s are physically in one venue.
There are opportunities for active engagement, immediate feedback and socio emotional development of
learners. It may be conducted in any available physical learning space while the

Distance Learning refers to a learning delivery modality where a learner is given materials or access to
resources and he/she undertakes self-directed study at home or in another.

Assessment is one of the crucial components of the instruction. One of the challenges this distance
learning is to build learning environment without seeing each learner in face to face and because we are
using modular as a modality. It is a big challenge on how to assess each learners the evaluation that they
deserve. Traditional assessment is very reliable, practical and easy to evaluate learners ’output while
distance learning modalities are quite challenging is most viable for independent learners and learners
supported by periodic supervision of parent or guardian. With the use of Deped order number 31s,2020
Deped assessment and grading system in New Normal education, sy.2020-2021 is the best suited in this
situation in order to evaluate each student output through 2 factors only one is written works and the
other one is performance tasks, no periodical examination is needed.

Assessment in the Modalities

 What makes the Weekly Home Learning Plan essential to the process of Teaching and
Learning in the new modality? What are the essential elements of the weekly Home Learning
Plan will you need to look for?

Reflection

Planning your week gives you time and space to figure out how you’re going to fit everything in. If
you’re trying to make progress at work and in your personal life, planning your week will help you get
there. Plus you won’t feel like a chicken with your head cut off trying to do things at the last minute.
How do I plan my weekly home plan? First, review bigger plans ,a goal suited for my learners. 2 nd,
make a detailed list of every little things I need and be done specially the instructional materials
needed for one week, 3rd, set priority check list that will be benefit for my learners , to increase the
strength, positive outlook at this pandemic 4 th, design action steps or motivation that lesson will be
meaningful 5th and the last, make a weekly home learning plan suited for the intellectual ability or
level of my learners.

The weekly home learning plan shall be prepared by teachers implementing distance and blended
learning. It helps teachers and parents in keeping track of the day today in school and off school
general learning processes, as they implement the most suitable and feasible alternative learning
modality. It is my role as a master teacher to know how all the lessons fit together in a weekly plan or
( weekly story), the standard, lesson objective ,selecting the right materials, assessment tools and the
whole structure. In order make lesson more interesting and meaningful to the learners needs.
The key components that will be included in the weekly home learning plan;
1st- Objectives and learning goals for the students
2nd- an engaging procedure that includes activating prior knowledge and a summarizing activity
and the
3rd- meaningful formative and summative assessments that allow me to scaffold students learning
