Concert Program:
 Beginners: Twinkle, French Folk Song, Are you sleeping, allegro, chopsticks, Cripple Creek, star
wars
 JV: Creatures, Waltz of the Goblins, Night Shift
 Varsity: Fire in the Forge, In the Hall of the Mountain King, Kashmir
Concert dress: Halloween costume (dress code applies) and should be school appropriate.
If you are not wearing a costume then wear a nice outfit.

Concert behavior- You need to be on your best behavior! Please be sure follow expectations and impress the
audience with our good concert etiquette. Concert etiquette will be included in your concert grade.

What to bring:
 Instrument & bow (make sure everything is labeled with your name, phone #, & school)
o Cello/bass: Bring your HOME instrument. We don’t have enough school instruments for
everybody.
 Accessories: Rosin, shoulder rest, rockstop (cello/bass), & stool (bass).
Halloween Cake Auction
Cake Auction will take place at the beginning of the concert.
Costume Contest –announced at the end of the concert
 Best Adult Costume & Best Kid Costume
Pumpkin Carving Contest: Bring a carved pumpkin & win a prize.
Transportation: Parents must provide their child to & from the concert.
Food: Parents must provide dinner to their child BEFORE the concert.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: (please check & support the orchestra)
PARENTS-
______I can donate a personal Halloween decorated cake to the cake auction. (First 5 volunteers accepted only).
______ I can donate or lend Halloween decorations for the concert such as webbing, pumpkins, orange or
purple lights, and any other spooky decorations. If lending items, please be sure name is clearly labeled on each
item. Bring to LTHS PAC day of concert as early as 4 pm (you may also drop the items off early to Mrs.
Macias at LTHS).
______ I can help with set up/decorating of LTHS PAC anytime between 4-7 pm on the day of the concert.
______ I can video record the program to share with the class the day after the concert (DVD format).
______I can help judge the costume contest (Only 1 judge from each school).
______I can bring a carved pumpkin for the carved pumpkin contest.
I, the parent, will drop off and pick up my child(ren) for the Monster Concert.
Students:

 I will bring my instrument, music, and accessories to the Monster Concert, October 29th.
 I will act appropriately during the concert and follow all LTISD and director’s rules and procedures.
 I will follow the Concert Etiquette for a formal concert.
o No talking, texting, or playing on the phone during the concert & rehearsals.
 The directors & private lesson teachers will give you a warning then take the phone away
from you.
o Clap at appropriate times.
 Leaving for emergency restrooms during CLAPPING ONLY.
o It is really rude to leave when others are performing.
 Any bad conduct will result me in a lower grade and refrain me from attending any social events and
future field trip.
