Motivation Letter

Dear members of the scholarship committee,

I am writing this letter to express my situation for availing the scholarship for my undergraduate
studies. I am applying for the Master " Graduate Scholarship Program for Excellent Foreign
Students (EFS) ", Semester 1/2020, and I would like to express my interest for the program. My
goal is to become a professional able and prepared to deal with complex buildings, advanced
building technologies and environmental performance, in order to improve the quality of
buildings and cities. I want to be a professional engaged to these factors, promoting quality and
social respect to architectural and urban planning products.

My name is…,I ’am a 25 years old Tunisian Student, I've been studying architecture for 6 years
and actually, I am in my last step before getting my national diploma ( in Tunisia we study 6 years
that include the bachelor and the master degrees to get the diploma ).

The study of fundamental architectural courses, such as architectural structure, mechanics and
materials science, made me to realize that architecture does not focuses only on a visual, but also
emphasizes on the more essential functional and practical aspects of an object. Thanks to the skills
and knowledge gained on the University I realized that architecture is not only an art, but
technology.

Thanks to my professional experience (more than 8 months on professional internship supervised

by an agency working on international projects) I have gained practical skills in designing and
work scope framing, project planning scheduling, etc. After working on this I realized that in
order to build higher skill and to learn new technologies in this field, higher studies in the field of
Architect in reputed International Institution is very essential and I realized also that architecture
is not only an art but a technology either.

That’s why I ’am interesting to complete my academic cursus to join the different discipline of
architecture And This program is intended to bridge between different worldviews, to exercise the
ability to perceive and understand diverse perspectives and to support a reciprocal, mutual,
understanding between different actors in the construction

your program will provide me a deeper comprehension of science and technology. The joint
influence of my artistic skills and knowledge of construction technologies will help me to
visualize the spaces in their totality and to have an advanced understanding of construction
management by providing necessary tools, methods and theories relevant for the discipline and
the practitioners as well as their application across the various phases of a project. Through this
program I will be able to cover the entire construction process, such as early stages, design,
construction production and facilities management.
Every time I plan on deciding whether to apply or not for the University studies the factor that
pulls me back is affordability of the undergraduate studies. I grew up in a middle-class family in
Tunisia and my parents have always supported me and my siblings during schooling.I really wish
to get the scholarship through which I will have a chance to study in an excellent University and
pave a road to my future career and accomplishment of my life goals.

This scholarship opportunity I perceive as an extraordinary chance to interact with students and
scholars from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds coming from all the World. This type
of networking is very important for integration of different ideas and perspectives pertaining to
diverse global issues.

At the end I would like to point out that I am determined to make the most out of the scholarship
program. I believe that being a student in prestigious University would not only empower my
career development, but would give me the tools to utilize my full potentials.
