The current school system rotates around academics. However, it falls short of what
students need to apply in future after school (Debate.org, 2017). The academic system of
education is highly overrated. It ends up destroying quite a number of kids rather than making
them. For an individual to become truly independent and fully-grown up, they will need to work
on themselves particularly when it comes readying for life than just a having regular school
attendance. Despite the constant improvements on the education system, more needs to be done
to help students adjust to life after school. The paper will look at how school fails at preparing
Suffocates Curiosity
The world after school is a big world, which has many challenges. One needs to have
adequate preparation on how to face them. However, school that is meant to prepare the student
to counter the challenges sets a specific course to be followed killing the student’s curiosity. It
helps the students who have already discovered their affinities learn more details about them.
those who are yet to discover their talents spend their school time advancing in classes
(Professor's House, 2017). The concern arises due to the extensive nature of materials taught by
professors. After classes, the students need to study to pass their tests. It suffocates the little

the mechanisms of handling money, saving and investing (Khalia, 2012). It turns out to be a big
School fails to teach students on issues that relate to their home (Wright, 2017). The
system fails to provide knowledge on how students can feed themselves. Majority of those
leaving school get confused whenever they get into the kitchen. Cooking is considered as fun and
a stress reliever whenever one is trying something creative. Many people do not understand the
reason why cooking is still not one of the classes that everyone needs to attend.
Unadjusted Methods
The education system fails to give room for adjusting the system due to its high prices. It
is only done in a few elite schools that test and later apply revolutionary teaching methods
(Lifehack, 2017). The students in other schools are confined to the old system. For example,
professors in teaching do not regularly involve themselves in writing of essays and scholarly
material but instead only prepare tests and assignment for students. It makes the students go
In conclusion, the education system fails to prepare students to face challenges in the real
world. It fails to provide basic personal skills such as cooking. It leads independent people who
