Course Code: Values Education 10


Course Title: Peace and Global Education
Course Description: Equips the students with competencies in visioning, goal setting, realizing the visions, seeing relations of sub-systems to the whole and planning for system –wide changes for
global peace, democratic citizenship, justice tolerance and international understanding, cooperative economic development and ecological sustainability. It emphasizes the need for each individual
to learn how to learn, to gain a better understanding of other people and the world at large, and to live together in peace and harmony towards building a genuine and lasting “culture of peace”.
General Objectives:
1. To develop attitudes and skills conducive to peace in the individual, interpersonal, national and global levels.
2. To understand the processes that lead to harmony or conflict and to be aware of the various approaches to constructive conflict resolutions.
3. To foster learning environment where students, teachers and school staff are encouraged to work together and build a harmonious community that embody the use of
constructive conflict resolution approaches.
