PROCEDURE:
1. Remove a small piece of the inner surface of an onion
skin.
2. Place the piece of onion skin on a slide.
3. Cover the piece of skin with a drop of iodine.
4. Place a cover slip over the onion skin.
5. Observe under low power; change to high power and
observe the onion skin.
6. Draw the cells of the onion skin under low power and
high power.
7. Label the parts of one cell.
CONCLUSION:
1. Can you see the cell walls?

3. Can you see the nucleus?
4. Can you see the vacuoles?
5. What color does the iodine stain the cell parts?
