INTRODUCTION:
Upon to your request dated on 01/02/2020, the material bagged and delivered to our
laboratory by your staff; this report CMT-004-20 is to represent the results of cement
tests.

TESTS CARRIED OUT:

Several tests carried out on cement according to European Standards EN 196 & ASTM Standards:
1. Compressive Strength according to EN 196-1:2016.
2. Determination of setting Times and Soundness according to EN 196-3:2016.
3. Determination of Fineness and Density according to EN 196-6: 2010.
4. Density of Hydraulic Cement according to ASTM C 188-2017.

RESULTS:
A. COMPRESSION TEST:
1. Preparation of mortar:
Each batch for three test specimens consist of (𝐶𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 = 450 ± 2𝑔, 𝑆𝑎𝑛𝑑 = 1350 ±
5𝑔, 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 225 ± 1𝑔), then mixing the batch of mortar mechanically using the mixer.

B. SETTING TIME& SOUNDNESS:

Each batch for cement paste consist of (𝐶𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 = 500 ± 1𝑔, 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 125 ± 1𝑔 (𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑),
then mixing the batch of cement Paste mechanically using the mixer, the consistency recorded,
after that initial and final Setting Times and soundness are recorded.

C. FINENESS& DENSITY:
Fineness: is measured the specific surface by observing the time taken for a fixed quantity of
