Coastal Alabama Checklist
Admissions
☐ Apply for Coastal Alabama
☐ Submit your Driver’s License or Government
ID
☐ Log into your OneACCS account to retrieve
your Coastal Alabama student email
☐ Request your final, official transcript to be
sent from your high school after you graduate
☐ Send transcripts from any Colleges that you
previously attended
☐ Check your personal email for your
confirmation email
☐ Download the Outlook app onto your phone
and check your Coastal Alabama student
email regularly
☐ Memorize your student A-number
Financial Aid
☐ Watch the video “How to Complete a FAFSA”
under the Financial Aid tab on our website
☐ Create an FSA ID through FAFSA.gov
☐ Complete your 2021-2022 FAFSA after
October 1st. Be sure to select Coastal
Alabama (001060) on your list of colleges.
☐ Check your Coastal Alabama student email
for your award letter, which entails what you
are eligible to receive.
☐ Log on to your OneACCS account to see what
documents you will need or contact the
Financial Aid office at (251) 580-2151.
☐ Complete any necessary paperwork by April
1st. Financial Aid takes 4-6 weeks to complete
and process.
☐ You must complete your Admissions’ file
before Financial Aid can be released to your
account.
Scholarships –Due February 1st
☐ Complete Admissions’ application.
☐ Gather a PDF file of your high school
transcript and ACT score.
☐ Complete the Scholarship Application Form
located under Financial Aid on our website.
☐ Check for your confirmation email that will
be sent to your Coastal Alabama student
email. If you do not receive this, please reach
out to your local recruiter.
☐ Check your mailbox after April 1st.
☐ Return your award letter accepting or
denying any scholarship that you may receive
before the deadline stated in the letter.
Housing – Opens Spring 2021
☐ Complete Admissions’ application
☐ Log into your OneACCS account to find the
Housing application
☐ Apply for Housing on the day it opens. The
dorms fill up fast!!
☐ Pay the $100 deposit within 3 business days
of submitting the application
☐ Check your Coastal Alabama student email
for a confirmation email.
☐ Sign and return your Housing contract in a
timely manner
☐ Be on the lookout for your roommate
assignment closer to the Fall semester.
Registration
☐ Monitor your Coastal Alabama student email
regularly
☐ Complete your Admission’s file
☐ Complete all Financial Aid requirements
☐ Log into your Canvas account, located under
the Student Login tab on the Coastal
Alabama website
☐ Complete the DIVE Orientation course
☐ Contact an Advisor by following the steps
located at the end of your Orientation quiz
☐ Register for courses
☐ Check your TouchNet account to make sure
that your classes are paid for at least one
week prior to the start of the semester.
