Text : Mrs. Gagnon: More Than a Teacher

A good teachercanteachyousomethingthatyouwillremember for a day, but

agreatteacherwillteachyousomethingthatyouwillremember for the rest of your
life. Teachers are muchlike a second parent, shape a child’spersonality and
future... I wasluckyenough to find all of thesequalities in myHistoryteacher,
Mrs. Gagnon.
She has influencedwho I am as a person. She has taught me to work hard and
always do my best. I woulddescribeher as being happy and
cheerfulbecauseshealwaysbrings a smile to my face. Shedemonstrates kindness
and patience toeverystudent in her class. Those are character traits that I feel I
have improveduponbecause of her. She has taught me to believe in
myselfbecausethis leads to success.
Mrs. Gagnon takesher time to get to know eachstudent as an individual. She
uses variousteaching styles in effort to reach the needs of everyone in her class.
Weoftenplaygames to study for a test, whichis an exciting and easyway to
review the information. Clearly, she has worked hard to figure out whatis best
for eachperson in her class.
The lessonsthat Mrs. Gagnon has taught me are invaluable. Mrs. Gagnon has
been the one teacherthat has affectedmy life the most. Shedid not need to
influence me to be a rocket scientist or brain surgeon, but she has influenced
me to become the best atanythingthat I set out to be.
