II. A. Passive voice: Have or get something done

1. Active
- have + someone + base form of verb
I had my sister wash my car. You can have a repair shop repair your shop.
I’ll have the travel agency send the air ticket to my office.
- get + someone + to-infinitive
You can get a repair shop to fix your bike. She got her secretary to write the report.
I got Seila to water the plants in my garden yesterday. She got me to feed the three dogs.
2. Passive
-have/get + object + past participle (at/by)
You can get/have your bike fixed (at/by a shop). I got/had my hair cut.
I got/had the suitcase handle repaired. I’ll get new locks on outer doors installed next weekend.
