Lab # 5
An Introduction to VTOL and Design of a Current Controller using
LabVIEW

Assessment
LAB OBJECTIVE:
 To introduce the VTOL system and open-loop and closed-loop operations on the system
 Design of a current controller to control the amount of current drawn by the propeller
motor
LAB TASKS:

Task 1:
Finding Resistance

Result1:
When open-loop Voltage is equal to 4v

Result2:

Task2:
Validate your designed controller in exercise 1 by using calculated values of
proportional and integral gain in current control Vi, in terms of performance
specifications. Attach the response.
Conclusion:
In this lab we learn about the working of VTOL. Basis working of VTOL will be discuss in
this lab. VTOL is vertical take-off and landing. Its application is helicopter. So we will learn how it
works. What are the parameter that effect VTOL. Become familiar with VTOL in this lab.
