INTERNAL MARK ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

In the current scenario, evaluating internal grade of students in the campus is time
consuming as well as requires more human effort. Proposed system is an application program
that provides a comprehensive solution to manage and enhance the internal mark evaluation.

Our project “Internal Mark Assessment System” is developed based on information


collected from the various departments of an institution.

This project mainly includes the maintenance of admission details and internal details
of each student in the department. Internal grade are evaluated from the grade obtained by the
students for internal exams, seminars, assignment and attendance.

This paper mainly includes the details of internal details of each student in the
department. Internal marks are evaluated from the marks obtained by the students for internal
assessment. It is data base paper the proposed system is developed in VB.NET 2010 as front
end and MS-Access as the back end.

Purpose of the Project


• The main feature of this system is to Analyze Student’s Performance.
• The system will calculate the better of two internal marks and will obtain average
marks of particular subjects.
• The system will generate consolidated report.
• The Faculty and Students itself can add information.
• The system will reduce the overhead of calculation and maintaining them.
2. SYNOPSIS

Currently in any education system the internal assessment and teacher’s feedback
analysis are processed manually. If we look into the literature, there exists much software for
these processes, but they are of some generic standards which may not be suitable to any
specific university policies. As students of this university, we made an attempt to automate
these processes for any college or institution. As per the rules of the college or institution,
every semester students are allowed to take three internal tests (Internal Assessment) for each
subject. A teacher has to record the marks of each test of every student in their subject. At the
final assessment stage, a teacher will consider the best two internal marks out of three
internals. Then they will calculate the average marks and convert this into average to 30
marks [maximum] and these marks are stored in the Excel file.

In the current scenario, evaluating and calculating internal average marks of each
student is time consuming as well as requires more human effort. This IMAS application
helps the faculty to reduce the overhead of marks calculation and to manage them. This
application is to reduce the paper work, human calculation errors and gives results. The
college or institution collects feedback from the students for the respective subject teachers to
evaluate the performance of the faculties at the end of each semester from the students. Our
online system is the best place to find feedback report and analysed graph of individual
teacher according to the college or institution requirement.
MODULE DESCRIPTION
This system contains the following four modules:
o Admin Module
o Faculty Module
o Student Module
o Report Module

ADMIN MODULE
This module mainly deals with course management, batch management and subject
management, faculty register.

STAFF MODULE
This module mainly deals with Marks management, Designation management and
Allocation management.

STUDENT MODULE
This module mainly deals with Student management and result.

REPORT MODULE
This report generation feature of the system is one of the prime attractions of the
proposed system. Reports are generated based on data collected from the above operations
and they are design to satisfy the decision-making requirements of the users.
