Network for Adolescents & Women Inclusion

in Reproductive Health Initiatives
Background

Sound sexual and reproductive health grants complete

physical, mental and social well-being in all matters
reproductive system. It ensures a gratifying and safe sex
life, reproduction as well as the freedom to choose if,
when and how often to do so.

Everyone has the right to choices concerning personal

sexual and reproductive health. Therefore, the availabil-
ity and access to accurate information as well as safe,
effective and affordable drugs and services are a critical
necessity that is unfortunately most of the time insuffi-
cient.

While sexual reproductive health remains a fundamental

human right as well as human development issue, it’s an
established fact that SRH rights are systematically vio-
lated both at policy
implementation and health facility levels (Kenya National
Commission on Human Rights).

Enhancement of these rights towards sound sexual re-

productive health is the essence of our existence as an
organization working within communities in rural Kenya
