Chess – Men Date: 01/10/2019

Venue- Krupanidhi College, Gunjuru, Bangalore

The men’s Chess team won the Overall championship.

Varun Raj Shekar of 1st BCom has secured 2nd place and has been selected for the South Zone
Inter University Chess Competition which is going to be held in Gandhi Gram University,
ANU,Guntur, AP.

Baskrtball – Women Date: 10/10/2019

Venue- Kristu Jayanthi College

The women’s Basketball team secured 3rd place.

Poonam Jangir of 1st BCom , Swathi of 1st BCom Yogitha of 22nd BBA got selected for the
South Zone Inter University Basketball Championship which is going to be held at Madras
Women University, TN.

Purushotham of 1st BCom got selected for the South Zone Inter University Basketball
Championship which is going to be held at Hindustan Institute T N

TableTennis- Women Date: 11/10/2019

Venue- New Horizon College Kasturinagar

New Horizon College, Kasturinagar women’s team won the 1st place.
Janvika of 2nd BCA, Rakshitha and Pooja of 2nd BBA got selected for the South Zone Inter
University Table tennis Championship which is going to be held at K L University A P

Wrestling – Men Date: 14/10/2019

Venue- GWFG College, Doddabalalpura

Akash M of 2nd BCA got Gold medal in Freestyle Wrestling competition (79kg)
Kiran Kumar P of 1st BBA got Gold medal in Freestyle Wrestling competition (92kg)
Rohit R Markar 1st BCom got Bronze medal in Freestyle Wrestling competition
Akash M of 2nd BCA and Kiran Kumar P of 1st BBA got selected for the All India University
Wrestling Championship which is going to be held at Haryana state

BENGALURU NORTH UNIVERSITY TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT

New Horizon College, Kasturinagar had hosted the Bengaluru North University
Table tennis Tournament on 11/10/2019 for the first time for both men and
women. There were 7 teams’ men and 4 team’s women that took part in the
tournament.

RESULTS:

MEN’S
Winners- Nagarjuna College
Runners- Hasnath College
Third Place- Jain College

WOMEN’S
Winners- New Horizon College, Kasturinagar
Runners- Nagrjuna College
Third Place- RJS College

The tournament was followed by the selection trials of the South Zone Inter
University Table tennis Championship. Janvika of 2nd BCA, Rakshitha and Pooja of
2nd BBA got selected for the championship.
