RECEIVING THE UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM

What shall we do to as we live in a shaking world? (Hebrews 12:25-29)

1. Focus on things that cannot be shaken

a. Hebrews 12:27
“This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—
that is, things that have been made—
in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.”

Focus on things that are eternal, because all these things in the world has an end.

b. 2 Corinthians 4:18
“as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things
that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

Let us focus our eyes on what is eternal.

c. John 6:66-68
‘’After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. So Jesus
said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to
whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life’’

2. Build your lives on a foundation that cannot be shaken.

trusting God and declaring our firmness in Him

a. Psalm 16:8 “I have set the LORD always before me;

because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”

b. Psalm 21:7

“For the king trusts in the LORD,

and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved.”

c. Psalm 62:2
“He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken”

Jesus Christ is rock who will never be shaken.

d. Psalm 112:6
“For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered forever.”

e. 1 Corinthians 3:11
“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus
Christ.”
(Story of the wise and foolish builder)

f. 2 Timothy 2:19
“But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: g“The Lord knows those who are hi
s,” and, “Let everyone hwho names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.””

We will never be shaken because we have a solid foundation.

3. Listen to God speaking to us in a shaking world.

a. Hebrews 12:25-26
“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they
refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who
warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet
once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.””

b. Exodus 18:19-21
“Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the LORD had descended on it in fire. The
smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly. 19
And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered
him in thunder. 20 The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And
the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
21 And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to
the LORD to look and many of them perish. “

God is speaking to us through His word, in these times of troubles, are we ready to listen to
Him? God is warning us about the troubles that we are about to face in this world. Are our
hearts ready to open to Him and listen to His word?

c. Haggai 2:4b-7
“Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the LORD. Work, for I am with you,
declares the LORD of hosts, according to the covenant that I made with you when you came
out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not. For thus says the LORD of hosts:
Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the
dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and
I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.”

All good things in this world are coming from God, there will be a time where everything
will perish or be gone in this world, but God’s glory will never fade. So, let our faith remain in
God and not of those things that are temporary in this world. Do not be afraid because you
will never be shaken ☺ Maraming natatanggal sa trabaho dahil sa epekto ng COVID-19
subalit hinihikayat tayo ng Panginoon na patuloy na magtiwala sa Kanya dahil ipinangako
Niya na tayo ay kailanma’y hindi mayayanig ☺

d. Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be
added to you.”
Listen to God speaking to us in this shaking world, all the things that we need will be
provided to us by God.

CONCLUSION: The unshakeable kingdom was prepared for us, as we live in a shaking world. In fact,
we belong to God’s kingdom, THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR AND WE WILL NEVER BE SHAKEN.

Hebrews 12: 28-29

“ Therefore LET US BE GRATEFUL FOR RECEIVING A KINGDOM THAT CANNOT BE SHAKEN, and thus LET
US OFFER TO GOD ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP, with reverence (pag-galang)
and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
