Plant Maintenance - Master Data Maintenance

1 - Master Data creation menu paths and transaction codes:

Menu Path for Work Centre Creation:

Logistics  Production  Master Data  Work Centres  Create
Transaction Code = CR01

Menu Path for Functional Location Creation:

Logistics  Plant Maintenance  Management of Tech Objects 
Functional Location  Create
Transaction code = IL01

Menu Path for Equipment Creation:

Logistics  Plant Maintenance  Management of Tech Objects 
Equipment  Create
Transaction Code = IE01

Menu Path for Task List Creation:

Logistics  Plant Maintenance  Preventive Maintenance  Work
Scheduling  Task Lists  For Eqp
Transaction Code = IA01
2 - Create Work Centre
Work Centre is a place where work is carried out, it can be a machine, a group
of machines, a person or a group of persons. It has a capacity and provides
connection between other organization objects like cost centre.
Transaction code = CR01

Plant, where this

Work Centre is
located

Give a name to
Work Centre
Work Centre
Category, like
Machine or Labour
Etc..

Press Enter
Basic Data Tab:

Give some description

Standard Value Key

Fill up the fields as needed

Usage = if this is production then value is 009, while if it is maintenance
then the default value is 004, see drop down list for other values as
needed
As this is a machine then there is some setup time involved, so for this assign a
value of Standard Value Key, one Standard Value Key can have upto six
parameters. These can be like Setup, Machine, Labour etc.

Default Values Tab:

Control Key PM01

Parameters UOM
Control Key = PM01Plant Maintenance Internal
Different control keys have different settings which can be seen
from F4
Other fields will depend on your particular situation as needed.
The units of Measurement of Standard Values is in time like Hrs, the parameters
are as selected in Standard Value Key in Basic Data Tab.
Change the unit of times as needed, normally these should be in Hr.
Capacities Tab:

Formula

Under capacities there is option to give capacity for Setup, Machine and Labour
If a particular option is not needed, then it can be removed.
Under Machine Capacity, there are some formulas in Setup and Processing
fields;
Place cursor on the field and click the FORM button below to show the detail of
the formula.
Click on Capacity Header Data to fill up the values as need.

Costing Tab:

Cost Centre

Activity Types for

Setup, Machine and
Labour

Cost Centre: 4230 (you might have a cost centre given to you from FICO, The
cost centre will be setup by FICO)
Activity Type = Setup / machine / Labour assigned to the cost centre
There are various activity types assigned to activities like Setup Time, Machine
Time, Labour Time
Basically the rate or cost per hour for Setup Time, Machine running time and
labour time, these will be setup by product costing.
Whenever the work centre is used some cost is incurred, so we need a cost
centre to collect this cost, which is why a cost centre is assigned to the Work
Centre. While the cost centre acts as a cost collector.
Once complete Press the Save Button to save the Work Centre.
3 - Create Functional Location
Functional location represents an eqp, a building or a part there of. It can be a
condenser, a packing area etc. Functional location is created based on technical
or functional criteria or a combination of both.
Transaction code = IL01
Functional Location Name: example = 1000-TST-PM-01, based on mask of XXXX-
XXX-AA-NN

Based on the mask setting (the format in which functional location is names,
custom mask can be created in SPRO). The mask defines the hierarchy of the
functional location
XXXX-XXX-AA-NN

Plant
Area Sub Area

Different masks can be selected from the filed “STRINDICATOR”, this will depend
if in your particular installation you have more than one mask setup.
Press Enter for Next Screen in General Tab

Description

Object Type

Description: give the description of your Functional Location – for example -

Production Location 01 in Toyota Plant 1000
Object Type: the Functional location can be a production location, or it can be a
part of bigger machine or longer assembly line, where each part can be
designated as a separate functional location. So we can select what sort of
functional location is being created.
There are a number of tabs in the functional location creation, and all of them
are not required to be filled, it will depend on your particular installation what
fields to be filled, and which have been made mandatory to be filled.
Location Tab:

The company code and planning plant values have automatically been picked up
based on the maintenance plant selected
Structure Tab:

In the structure we can assign the equipment that is in this functional location.
This called Equipment Installation Allowed.
Press Save to Save the functional location
4- Create Equipment
Equipment is a single object for which maintenance task needs to be
performed, this can be a pump / motor / boiler, and equipment can be installed
at a functional location and linked to a material. Equipment master record
needs to be created and maintained to keep a record of the maintenance, and
cost of maintenance.

Where again we have a number of fields which can be filled if required as per
your installation.

based on the maint plant selected
Structure Tab:
We need to place this eqp into a structure, so create all the equipment needed
and then they can be placed into appropriate functional locations.
This will complete the equipment creation, save the equipment.
