What is Work center?

A work center is a place where conversion of activity takes place.

An individual person, a group of people (craft), or other resources
such as machines, and equipment can be treated as work center.

Work centers may be grouped into a work center hierarchy; every

work center in the hierarchy subordinate to another work center.

Work center contains information used to determine the available

capacity is entered. The available capacity for a work center is
calculated using the number of working hours available to each work
center. Work center contains Scheduling and costing information
also.

This document explains how to change details in the work center.

Change
1. Press Twice CR02 – Change.

Change Work Center: Initial Screen

2. Maintain the following data:

Field Name Values

Plant Enter value in
Plant.
Work center Enter value in Work
center.
3. Press Copy Enter Button .
4. Change the required data in the work center in any tab screen.

5. Press Save .

6. The message bar displays “Work center xxxx in plant xxxx was
changed”
