1) What role do you think goals would play in planning for the wise use of this gift? List
some goals you think might be important. (Make sure these goals have the
characteristics of well-written goals.)
 The role goals would play in this oh so magnificent gift what play a very
important role in this type of nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing
ministry. Some goals that would benefit this ministry tremendously would
have to be to advertise these homes via television, newspaper, or bulletins
outside of the areas where poverty exist. This would bring in more people off
the street since the company wants to live up to its mission.
o Another goal to incorporate would have to be to offer jobs to those in
need as well. This will brighten up their world and open more doors
for the future. These people can very well be the CEO’s of the
company. You would never know until you try. This would also help
the people that are in poverty to have a job helping other people that
are in need so they can work off the payment of the loan.
2) What types of plans would be needed in wisely using this gift? (For instance, long-term
or short-term, or both?) Explain why you think these plans would be important.
 The types of plans that will be needed in wisely using this gift are both short-
term and long-term goals. These plans are important because if they want to
achieve something they have to have goals set forth for them in order for
them to be efficient and effective. Setting goals helps you to focus, organize
the organization, and strive for the best. Once again this will be very effective
when planned properly and precisely.
3) What contingency factors might affect the planning Habitat executives have to do for
the wise use of this gift? How might those contingency factors affect the planning?
 The contingency factors could very well be dealing with the economy, politics,
or cultural factors. They could be a risk to this. Reason being is because what
if the economy ends up in recession, now it’s on that ministry because now
they are not able to get the money from the people that were living in
poverty. This would affect them tremendously if they don’t be careful. They
have to have a plan for the unforeseen so it won’t be as risky.
4) What planning challenges do you think Habitat executives face with getting the most
use out of this gift? How should they cope with those challenges?
 They probably face challenges with getting these people approved for the
housing since they are the ones that wan these people off the streets. They
have to cope with these challenges because this was their choice, their
mission to provide affordable homes for the middle-class, less fortunate, and
homeless. But, the most important thing is that they are making a better life
for the people that need help. That’s a wonderful and awesome thing to do
for people.
