The kit decals, as with all waterslide transfers, must be applied onto a glossy

creating a ‘painted-on’ look.

extraordinary resin (and PE) set contains no less than four complete Wright Cyclone
radial engines with new cowlings, individual pushrods, ignition leads and more. The
detail on the resin castings is quite simply exquisite; the cooling gills on the cylinder
heads (right) are so fine you need a close-up lens to see them and the other parts
of the same high quality. Eduard seem to have got rid of most of the 'scan lines'
(produced by the 3D printing process) that were present on some previous resin
castings, making this a top quality production that will look breathtakingly realistic
on the model. Eduard have also created a complete set of replacement M2 Browning

Revell's new 1:32 Bf109G-6, released last year. The box includes a heap of resin
castings that entirely replace the kit parts, each new component carrying a
significantly improved level of detail to the standard parts. Particularly welcome
is the multi-layer instrument panel with pre-coloured dials on PE etched parts;
these look spectacularly good. A conventional instrument panel in opaque resin
is included for those who prefer that approach. Sidewall detail is complete
and an extensive suite of supplementary PE parts provide the trim wheel and
its drive chain, seat harnesses, rudder pedals and their straps, small levers,
canopy armour and more. Revell's standard cockpit is excellent but this
set takes it several steps further and will give the kit a serious touch of
refinement. Also new in the Brassin line for the Revell ‘G-6 is a set of
exhaust outlets with hollow tips and weld-seams; the anti-glare shields
are provided in photo-etch. The replacement main undercarriage
legs (cast in bronze, shown right)) are a straight swap for the slightly
delicate kit parts and come with brake lines cast integrally. The UC
doors are cast in resin and feature the remaining sections of brake
line, impeccably cast in fine grey resin.
