BD SurePath™ Brush/Spatula Combo


Collection Guidelines
The SurePath™ Pap test can be collected with two different broom-like devices:

Rovers® Cervex-Brush® Rovers® Cervex-Brush® Combi


Device Protocol: Device Protocol:

o Place the cap on the vial and tighten securely in
place o Rotate the brush ¼ turn and use the inner edge
of the insert to pull off the brush head
 Send
 Tighten
o Label the specimen accordingly
o Place the cap on the vial and tighten securely in
o Send to the lab at room temperature

Cytobrush® and Pap Perfect® Spatula


Device Protocol:

 Collect with the brush  Collect with the spatula


o Insert the brush into the endocervical canal o Use the spatula to collect ectocerivcal cells by
