Is the policy technically feasible?

A well-constructed policy can be easily carried out in the future. However, even integrated with
an excellent plan certain unanticipated factors will grant on its impracticability. In this section
concerning policy analysis, we will assess if the Samsung’s company policy is hereby
acknowledge as technically feasible.

Technically feasible means that the policy can carry out its goal and objectives through
technical principles and concept. Given with the right personnel, material resources, and
technology.

Samsung’s policies in human rights adheres the laws imposed by the government. Hence, there
is an assurance that these policies will likely to be achieved in the long run of the company.
They give benefits like maternal/paternal leave, overtime allowance, social insurance and

and regulation. In the end this will make the workplace act in harmony. 

However, the highlight of Samsung’s policy regarding human right is their establishment of
“Anti-Discrimination Policy” This policy connects some of their objectives in creating balance in

keeping information secured to all of our owned devices. Same goes to their employees where
company doesn’t allow everyone to see their employees’ information without a valid reason.

the law. The policy is in effect therefore it is feasible. But this kind of policy must always be
renewed. If technology requires innovation, same with the policy of privacy within their
products. News of information selling are reported. It could be an inside activity of the company
or external sectors who invades these privacies. Then it is their job to strengthen their security
to stay in compact with their policy. 

Policy is technically feasible through maintenance. A periodic update of the system of devices is
needed to enclose data breaching. Hence, the policy is being practiced. 

Responsible Asset Management

Prohibition of Using Illegal S/W Policy – protects customers, employees and company from
illegal software. Employees shall refrain from actions that may violate IT security or make their
devices susceptible to viruses. This policy can only be practiced within the company and for

Fair Trade Policy prohibits fixing of prices, bid rigging, distributing markets, abusing market

government imposes to businesses especially for those big companies. So every businesses
should comply because they don’t have a choice. Tax policies of Samsung include transparency
with the public and local authorities. 

Fair Trade Policy is more like an agreement in contract and does not involve technical
components to implement. Primarily, the government is the one who impose this. 

Samsung transparency is technically feasible. To prove Samsung’s conformity with the laws,
anything about Samsung can now be seen at the internet. 

Anti-Corruption

Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy – all employees may not give or take a bribe, directly or
through others. The policy suggest that anyone caught in action will receive appropriate
charges. This kind of policy can be attained but without full assurance. Most of the facilities of
Samsung are equipped with CCTVs therefore only those actions within can only be charged. The
policy is technically feasible with the use of cameras. However, external activities are difficult to
be monitored.

Conflict of Interest
