SITE ANALYSIS
INTRODUCTION

A sociocultural and public interaction space for its citizens and has planned an ambitious project in the
heart of NOIDA with a vision of catering to the increasing needs and aspirations of NOIDA

The project site location is one of the most prime locations, being the first gateway to NOIDA from Delhi
visually, when approached from the Kalindi-Kunj area, thus widening the catchment of this complex to
South Delhi too.

LOCATION

The project is located on plot 4, Sector 94, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The project site is earmarked as
commercial land as per the latest Noida Master Plan 2031.

3. Nearest bus stop is Okhla bird sanctuary bus stop which is 600m away from the site.

4. The nearest metro station is Okhla bird sanctuary station and nearest railway station is New Delhi
railway station ( 14.11 km) away.

5. The nearest airport is hindon airport (17.27km) away.

TOPOGRAPHY AND VEGETATAION

The site and its surrounding area is situated on almost Flat terrain. The soil type on site is sandy and clay
loamy type.

The site is quite dense in vegetation. Have alot of shrubs and bushes. And the type of trees is present are
Neem, peepal and ashoka.

1. The site have a plant which is being used for construction purpose adjacent to site.
2. And also have the labour accomodation of that plant on site too.
3. The site have 2 water bodies.

NATURAL

The site is quite dense in vegetation. Have alot of shrubs and bushes.

CLIMATE AND WIND DIRECTION

In summer, ie from march to June, the Weather remains hot and the temperature Ranges from a maximum
of 48 *c to a minimum of 28* c. Temperatures fall to as low as 3 to 4*c at the peak of winters.

The prevailing winds flow from north-west to south -.east almost throughout the year.

STRENGTH

1. Metro station is just near to the site ( 650m )away.


2. Site has the potential to direct the kind of development that will come up in the future,
3. Site have lush green around it, which will give a good view.

WEAKNESS

1. As the land around is still underdeveloped and under construction.


2. At night, the site surround become very shady and empty, which can lead to the unsafe feeling.
3. And at south side of the site there are temporary shops which can disrupt the view from site.

OPPORTUNITIES

1. The location of the site is its most striking feature and can be utilised in the architectural
expression as it is located on a corner plot and near to the expressway Giving full accessed view
from outside.
2. Comer plot allows for better connection with the movement systems and the roads around the site
- better scope for creating a pedestrian edge.

THREAT

1. If the future development on adjoining plots does not go about as planned, the project may end
being an island disconnected from the surroundings.
2. Safety issues can be concern around the site because of low movement of pedestrian.

INFERENCES

1. Courtyard planning is suitable as it allows and helps in ventilation reduction of surface exposed to
solar radiation and use of shading devices.
2. The building should be oriented in such a way that maximum number of openings should be in
north side and north west for proper light and ventilation resp. .
3. TERRACE GARDEN to reduce heat loss, and to easily maintain a steady Indoor air temperature,
roof garden cover exposed roof area of the building leading To high reduction of heat gain. These
terraces are also accessible from office and guest room, thus acting as a Breathing spaces beside
thermal advantages.
