I. After Reading the passage about Frida Kahlo answer the following
-Juli 6, 1907 in the house of her parents, know as La Casa Azul (The Blue House), in Coyoacan.
- Frida acknowledged and asserted her German heritage by spelling her name, Frieda (an allusion
to "Frieden", which means "peace" in German).
-Kahlo claimed that she was born in 1910 so people would directly associate her with the
revolution. Kahlo contracted polio at age six, which left her right leg thinner than the left, which
Kahlo disguised by wearing long skirts.
-The accident left her in a great deal of pain; she painted to occupy her time during her temporary
state of immobilization. Her self-portraits became a dominant part of her life when she was
immobile for three months after her accident.
-Kahlo was deeply influenced by indigenous Mexican culture, which is apparent in her use of bright
colors and dramatic symbolism. She frequently included the symbolic monkey. In Mexican
mythology, monkeys are symbols of lust.

-In my personal opinion, Frida tried to express in her diary that she wanted to have a simple death,
without pain and that she wanted to be free. She had already been successful, she had a great
career as an artist and showed a clear example of improvement for the new generations, so she
said that in her diary to die and be happy knowing that she already left her legacy and showing
that people can be successful. If they do something that they love and that passion will come
alone
