Reflection paper on the Webinar titled "Webinar Workshop on Technology - Based

Learning via Continuing Professional Development (CPD) across Professions" on the
topic: Management of Emails and Google Calendar Hacks

Before the webinar, I was not very mindful of how I use my Gmail. I was the typical
novice user of Gmail. However, my perspective drastically changed because of the webinar.
After the webinar, I realized that my Gmail usage can be drastically improved by applying
the tips and tricks of Mr. Vinculado in using Gmail. Like for example, the use of labels in
Gmail. Using labels helped me to be more organized in my mails. I classified all my mails
into different categories to avoid confusion. I also like the function of Gmail that gives you
the power to make your emails confidential. This is very helpful when we are sending
important documents like exams and the rest. Another one is scheduling your e-mails; this
function of Gmail makes you more efficient as a teacher. It is also worth noting the function
of Gmail where you can put your signature and contact information in the end of your mails
like a template. This helped me improve my professional image to my students. All in all, the
webinar about Gmail indeed helped me to better manage my e-mails efficiently. With the
topic about Google Calendar hacks, I went from a “none” user to a “full-time” one. After the
webinar, I immediately filled my Google Calendar with tasks for the month. It helped me
become more productive in my Graduate School endeavor. Also, as a future educator, I
would definitely use Google Calendar in my teaching especially the tool where students can
collaborate in one Google Calendar. This function of Google Calendar will help the students
to be more mindful of their tasks and the schedule of their groupmates. The function of
Google Calendar that I really loved is the scheduling of google meet classes. This allows my
future students to be updated that we are about to have a meeting on that specific day. All in
all, the webinar made me realized that there are still many things to learn about these apps.
This webinar taught me to explore more when it comes to technology because as teachers, we
must never stop learning.
