1. Given a chance, what outdoor activity would you like to try? Why? Where? Who
do you like to be with? What benefits can I get from it?

Answer: If I would be given a chance to do outdoor activities, I would like to try biking. I
want to try biking because it is something that I miss from my childhood. Biking reminds
me of how happy I am in my childhood during those good old days. I also want to do
biking because I also want to go to a lot of places such as Tagaytay and many more. I
want my destination to be at Tagaytay because I think that it is my comfort place, it’s
very chill, comforting, and cold. If I’ll go biking, I want to be with my friends, we always
plan about going to Tagaytay but we always ended up take a rain check. I think biking is
the best way for us to be at Tagaytay and it’ll be more a lot of fun. We all know that
biking is really hard, it is very tiring nut it also has a lot of benefits to our health. Going
for a ride is good for our heart and muscles, it may improve how we walk, balance, and
climb. Biking is easy on our joints, pushing pedals provides an aerobic workout which is
good for our heart, brain and blood vessels. It also helps with everyday activities like
balance, walking, standing, endurance and also stair climbing.

2. From your observation, whether first hand or from other sources (news,
documentary shows, narrated by friends, etc.), which among the LEAVE NO
TRACE 7 PRINCIPLES is usually not being observed in the Philippines? Explain
your answer.

Based on my observations, I think the principle that is not usually being observed here
in the Philippines is the number 3 principle which is the “Dispose of Waste Properly”.
Areas where trash is not disposed properly tend to have a poor reputation for tourists.
People who love to travel prefer to go to a place where there comfort and safety is
ensured. Polluted towns or cities aren’t included in their list of travel destinations.
Improper waste disposal impairs an area’s ability to grow and thrive financially as its
eco-system slowly dies from harmful waste materials. Even though we are all aware of
this, most of the people still end up not doing the right thing. We should always dispose
our trash properly, even though it is not our trash and it will mean a lot. Not disposing it
in a right way can ruin everything including our environment, wildlife and marine life.
When we go to a trip, we bring a lot of foods. We shouldn’t just leave any garbage, let’s
pick it up and dispose it properly. Every destination, there are sign that we should puck
our garbage to manage a beautiful place. However, even though there are sign, there
are still people who can’t do it. It’s so basic and a lot of us can’t do it. Old fishing lures,
plastic bottles, rope, Styrofoam, cigarette butts and fishing lines can be consumed by
marine animals leading to the death of millions each year.
