FINDING THE LINK FOR YOUR SOFTWARE

To find the link for your software:

1. Sign into the site where you purchased the software.

2. At the top of the page, click the Sign In link.
3. Enter your Username and Password.
4. At the top of the page, click the Your Account link to view your Order History.
5. Choose the JMP 9 software you want to download by either clicking on:
 The View Details link.
 The software link in the Items section.
6. Make a note of your Serial Number. You will need it during the activation process.

Note: The Order Details page displays all the information related to your recent purchases, including links
to download the software and serial and activation numbers when applicable.

DOWNLOADING JMP 9

To download the software:

1. In the Order History section, select the JMP software that you ordered and click the View
Details link.
2. On the Receipt page in the Items section, click the Start Download button.

  If you have previously downloaded and installed the SDM, the Secure Download Manager
window will display your most recently ordered software. Go to step 4.
 If this is the first time you have downloaded the SDM, the Secure Download Manager
Installation window is displayed.

3. Click the Download SDM button. The SDM starts downloading.

 For specific installation instructions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and
Apple Safari, click the appropriate tab in the Secure Download Manager Installation window.
 Once you have downloaded and installed the SDM, your most recently ordered software is
displayed in the Secure Download Manager window.

4. To begin downloading your software, click the Start button. Your software begins downloading.

LAUNCHING JMP 9

To launch JMP 9:

1. When the software has completed downloading, click the Launch button to begin the installation.
If the program does not launch automatically, double click the JMP 9 file name. Otherwise, go to

2. Installing JMP 9.
3. Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the software.
4. Double click the file name.
5. Double click setup.exe. The JMP9 Installation Wizard Window is launched.

Installing JMP 9

To install JMP 9:

1. In the InstallShield Wizard window, click the Next button. The Licensing Agreement window is
displayed.

2. Click the I accept the terms of the license agreement radio button.

3. Click the Next button. The Choose Destination Location window is displayed.

4. If desired, change the Destination Folder by clicking the Browse button. It is recommended that
you do not change default location.

5. Click the Next button. The Select Features window is displayed.

6. Select one of the Language Support Files.

Note: By default, English is selected.

7. Click the Next button. The Ready to Install the Program window is displayed.

8. Click the Install button. The install process begins.

The Setup Status window is displayed followed by several update windows.

 9. Click the Finish button. The InstallShield Wizard window closes.

You are now ready to launch the software.

Launching JMP 9

Once the software has been successfully installed, launch the software by using one of the following
methods:

1.
a. Navigate to START | ALL PROGRAMS | JMP9.

b. Double click JMP9.

 2. Alternatively,
a. On your desktop, find the JMP9 icon.
b. Double click the icon.

Once the software is launched successfully, the Activation window is displayed.

Activating JMP 9

Note: You have purchased the download version and NO SERIAL NUMBER will be sent to you via
email (as indicated in the Activation window).

To find your Serial Number:

1. Sign in to the website from where you ordered the software using your Username and Password.
2. At the top of the page, click the Your Account link.
3. In the Order History section, select the software that you ordered and click the View Details link.
4. Make a note of the Serial Number.

To activate your software:

1. Enter the Serial Number in the Serial Number box.

2. Click the Activate button. The JMP is Activating; Please Wait window is displayed.

 3. When the JMP Alert window is displayed, click the OK button.

The Registration window is displayed.

Registering JMP 9

You can choose to register your software now or at a later time. If you select Wait to Register, you can
continue to use the program without registering.

If you select Register Now, the Login to Register JMP Software window is displayed. Follow the steps for
registering on the JMP website.

When the software registration is completed, the Tip of the Day window is displayed.

When you close the Tip of the Day window, the JMP Home window is displayed

You are now ready to start using your JMP 9 software.
