Classroom Behavior Management Plan

Classroom Rules:
 Respect one another
 Be on time to class
 Come prepared and ready to go
 Have all materials needed for the class
 Participate in class
 Do not talk when others are talking
 Keep hands and feet and other personal items to yourself

Rationale:
 Look for direction and daily assignments on the board when settled in your seat.
 Please be ready to learn when you walk into the classroom, there is a lot of daily
information going to be covered and we need to be ready to learn.
 Take good notes when following along with the readings and class discussions during the
class.
 Raise your hand if you have a question during lecture time.
 Respect others when they are talking and do not talk over them. They might be asking a
question you also have and if you are listening you might get the answer you are looking
for.
 There is never a dumb question!

Consequences:
 Verbal Warning
 Seat change (for the remainder of the class time)
 Step out for one-on-one student teacher conference
 Permanent seat change (by the teacher desk)
 Parent Phone call
 Office referral

Rewards:

 Cell phone use when all independent work is complete.
 Extra points if all journals are tuned in at the end of the week and warm up assignments
are complete.
 Open seating if the class follows the rules and cooperates during lecture time.
