Recommendations to eliminate or reduce potential
hazards associated with each step
 Weekly follow up checklist.
 Daily pre-use inspection.
 3 pts of contact shall be maintained while getting
on/down the stairs.
 Ensure access steps and handrails are not slippery (no
lubricants accumulation, sand…)
 Going down the stairs frontward.
 A valid permit to work
 Appointed Supervisor
 Competent operators.
 Check list and journey management should be checked
on
 Weekly and daily basis if needed.
 In -vehicles monitoring system

 No speeding
 Manual handling technique

 Vehicle pre-use daily inspection.
 Seatbelts fastening for all the vehicle occupants.
 Reduce speed if the visibility is reduced, stop driving if
obstructed.
  Fire  All vehicules must be equiped by flame hider
 Classified area: nearby Pipeline
 HC/Pressure of piping ( Gas line)
 Rollover of Truck  Ensure rotating beacon and handbrake are working.
 Accidents  Make sure handbrake is applied when stopped
 Crushing  Plan trip to make sure load will pass under any building
 Fire projections
 Collision  Operator to ensure safe distance behind vehicles in front
 Check that fire extinguisher is on truck, easily accessible
and is full.
 Engine to be turned off before refueling
 Check that fuel cap is in place and not damaged.
 Visual check for any oil or fuel leaks before travel
 Operator to be vigilant. Arrange for an observer if
possible when backing or tipping
 No-one to get between cab and truck tray while engine is
Sand transportation using dumper running
