Pandemic, online classes, weather disturbances; what Filipino values keeps you going?

In just in a blink of an eye, everything has changed. When the pandemic strikes everyone
has their own problems and conflicts. Together with the pandemic the weather disturbances, like
typhoons and storm also added to the problem. But because we are Filipino, these kinds of stuff
will not easily break us, given that we are used to eat already with the exception of COVID-19
pandemic.

The pandemic also affects the youth like us. With our studies becomes through online,
every student has a hard time to adapt. But it’s just a matter of time before we were able to blend
on it. There are different Filipino values that I find myself really working with me. These are the
Damayan system, flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency. We can really see the damayan system
actively in every Filipino. Because the pandemic causes a lot of trouble to us, we cannot help it
but to help each other in our crisis. In addition, our flexibility and being able to adapt is our main
foundation towards hope.

As a student, I was also able to adapt to our online studies. And even the situation in our
country is really tough, we still be able to find things that we can work and fun with. With the use
of lockdown, I was able to watch my favorite anime and set a workout plan for myself, which
serve as my leisure time. It is the value of being resilient.

To sum it up, Filipino values are always present whenever, whatever and wherever we go.
This values are the key to our success and serve as our hope to our daily conflicts.
