Criteria of selection-

IT offices are such spaces that requires tailored facilities to accommodate

flexible workplace. These spaces should be designed to create adaptable
and comfortable environment, which otherwise lacks due to dull and
monotonous designing.
Study of interior design will help me to provide comfort and convenience of
occupants and their effect on the perception of the space as they spend
maximum time in work spaces. So, it is significant to use modular approach
for flexible work spaces.

Objectives-
1. To design a workstation module with multiple arrangements for
individual as well as group.
2. To enable a flexibility in open- plan arrangement which aspires
interaction.
3. To design a workspace which translates comfort (light comfort, noise
comfort and indoor air quality) and convenience.

Scope of work-
1. Scope of this study is restricted to workstations.
2. Scope of this study is not limited to the furniture modules but also
incorporate space performance and comfort.

Methodology-
1. Identifying the type, size and activity in a space.
2. Understanding the need of study and formulating the objectives.
3. Data identification and data collection to understand the elements of
interior for workspaces and their effect on space performance.
4. By analyzing conditions necessary for comfort and convenience for
occupants to create flexible workstation module.
5. Designing of whole space by using modular approach.

Data required and sources-

1. Primary data- case studies and surveys.
2. Secondary data- theoretical studies of interior elements and their
function, standards and bye laws, case studies of similar spaces.
