Fast food is very popular and saves time for busy people.

However, many experts say it is not completely


healthy.

Do know anyone who has never been to McDonald’s? McDonald’s restaurants are serving
millions of people in over the 100 countries. McDonald’s sell food so called “junk” and “fast” –
hamburgers, fries and so on. It is very popular, especially with children and teenagers.
I love hamburgers, cheeseburgers, coke, muffins. It is cheap, easy and saves time. You don’t
have to go to supermarket buy products, prepare meals and wash the dishes. You can simply go to
McDonald’s and eat with your friends or relatives.
But experts say that fast food elevates risks of cancer and diabetes. If our regular meal
contains burgers, pizzas and fizzy drinks, we are facing serious problems. One cup of coke is
contains 8 tea-spoons of sugar and other chemical sweeteners.
To sum it up, we should really think it through what we eat. We should try more vegetables
and fruits and less fast foot if we care about our life.

Some people say that genetically modified (GM) food is dangerous to their health. Others believe that it
is absolutely harmless and has a number of advantages.
Nowadays, people care about what they eat because it is connected with the way it looks
and feels. That’s the reason why there are so many arguments about whether GM food is safe or
not.
Genetically modified foods are developed by changing plant’s structure in order to help
plant resist diseases. I try not to buy GM food because there is no scientific proof that it is
harmless for humans and I rather not to risk.
However, many people are not worried about GM’s negative influence on their health.
Producers of this food say that there is no risk for human health but there are some side effects
connected with use of GM food that have not been studied.
I believe it’s up to you whether you buy GM food or not, but producers of this food should
label it, if it contains GM food.

Some people say that food is our friend, while others think that it may become an enemy.
Can we live without food? The answer is definitely “no”. Food is essential to our body.
Experts say that food has some super power and they can control our body, for better or for worse.
To my mind, food is our friend if it is healthy and we also exercise. I think food really can
manage our mood, for example when I feel blue, I eat chocolate or ice-cream, It gives me energy
and I become more cheerful. When I am about to take a test, I eat nuts or a banana, because it
helps me concentrate.
However, food can became an enemy. Some people don’t pay attention to what they eat. If
you diet includes hamburgers, pizzas and fizzy drinks, they can do much harm to your health.
People who eats these kinds of food suffers from diabetes, cancers , tooth decay and they become
overweight.
Food that contains vitamins helps you improve your heath. But food that contains sugar
caffeine and chemical additives makes you fat and draws energy from you. I think that if you take
control over your food, you take control over your life.

Nowadays more and more people become vegetarians. Other say they can’t do without meat and fish

Being a vegetarian is very popular nowadays. Some people say that they don’t eat meat and
fish because it is healthy. Others follow their favourite actor or musician.
I think that we should eat both fish and meat. Our ancestors survived because they hunted
and fished. Meat and fish contains vitamins that makes us stronger and fish is good for our brain.
Lot of people believe that it is cruel to kill an animal. They feel sorry for pigs, chickens and
rabbit being locked up in cages. Vegetarian think that it is crime to kill an animal. Their food
contains vegetables, fruits and nuts. They believe that it has all necessary vitamins in it. I think if
we all start eating nothing but vegetables and fruit there will not be enough food for all of us.
It is up to you to decide whether you want to be a vegetarian or not. I believe that we
should eat different food but also we should know when to stop.
