1. When we try to compare then and now, what are the differences in terms of how people carry
out things physically, culturally, and socio-politically?
People then carry out things physically with their hands using some tools made from
wood or stones, but this time with technology some are automated using semi intelligent
machinery by just pressing buttons, some of our culture are slowly being forgotten because there
is not many people who practices it for example, the traditional courting where the man will ask
for the permission of her parents before courting the woman but now there is this dating where by
being together first and knowing each other along the way. In socio political differences before
people doesn’t have much voice when it comes to the government ways but now officials are
looking for people who critiques the ways of government for more improvement to government
operations.
2. What are the different stages in the cultural development of human?
The different stages in the cultural development of human are Paleolithic period,
Neolithic period and Age of Metal.
3. How does human grow culturally, socially , and politically in Paleolithic period? Neolithic
Period? Age of metal?
Paleolithic period also termed as “Old Stone Age” where communities of human lived
together in small societies at this time and subsisted by gathering plants and fishing or hunting or
scavenging wild animals. The respect for the person is determined by their individual ability.
There is no leader who is above the others and followed without question.
Neolithic period (New Stone age), also called as first agricultural revolution. In this
period people transition from hunting to agriculture, they settled for a place built towns and
villages where they can grow plants and shepherd animals for livestock. They also build boats for
fishing
Age of Metal started when people discovered different kind of metals from ores that can
be used to make tools, weaponry and accessories. The first to be discovered were copper then
bronze lastly iron. Systems are formed, tribes, empires and states were recognized.
4. Why do you think people need a transformation or evolution to adapt to his/her environment?
People need to evolve/transform because there are different things that are discovered
improving the ways of life and things that will not be possible because of other factors. They are
needed to change to adapt for them to survive and thrive.
5. Do you observe practices that preserve culture in today’s living? Explain by giving an example.
Yes, in today’s day and age, respecting elders is still a thing children were taught to say
po and opo when talking to someone older and “pagmamano”.
6. As a human how do you progress? List down at least five things that you can do 10 years ago,
and the things that you can do at present.
