What I Have Learned


Reflection. During free time (Sunday), we spend our leisure time together by watching movies
at night and go hiking or jogging in the morning. Spending time together is important to form
strong, emotional ties. We should atleast do some recreational activity and enjoy each other’s
company to have a strong bond and relate to each other by having a better communication and
fun moments as a family.
What I Can Do
 Jogging – we jog every morning.
 Hiking – during their free time(once/twice a month)
 Watching TV/Movies – every night after their duties at work/school.
 Walking – walking around the yard or sweeping the yard
 Planting/Farming

LESSON 2: Aquatics

WHAT IS IT?
-We do not have river, beaches and swimming pool in our community and no recreational
activity done on water before the lockdown-
Activity 2: KUNG MAIBABALIK KO LANG
Every year, we planned on traveling to different spots in the Philippines to try out
some outdoor activities while enjoying our vacation. The year before quarantine period,
during the Christmas break, we traveled in Baguio. It was an amazing experience cause
‘t was my first time on horse back riding with my family at the Camp John Hay. And on
our next destination was at the Burnham Park where there are a lot of kinds of bicycle
and boats to rent and ride on it. We’ve been in a lot of destinations there and tried
climbing up an almost never ending stairs just to go to the Groto while enjoying the
relaxing ambience of the nature.
But then, on the next year ahead, people are not allowed to travel everywhere.
Staying at home is boring especially when all we need to do is stay inside, watch news
on the TV, browse the internet everyday and doing it repeatedly which is stressing.
Our lives are unavoidably different in the wake of COVID-19, and they’re likely to
stay that way until the outbreak is contained. This is what our lives look like now:
travelling across our neighborhood to a friend’s deck for chikas, no contact happy hour
from 6 feet apart. It seems like it was only yesterday we were free to go anywhere and
not required to wear a mask when going out, free of doing outdoor activities without the
required social distancing.

What I Have Learned


Reflection. Based on the lesson, recreation facilities plays a vital role in aquatic skill
development, recreation, sport and health active lifestyles in the community. It provides
employment opportunities for local people and are essential to the social fabric of the
community, particularly in rural and remote communities.
What I Can Do
-We are lacking of source of water at home and in our barangay that’s why we can’t do
an aquatic activity at home-

-I never tried going camping in school, in church nor with family-
Activity 3: CAMPING FOR FUN
It was a great idea and a good setup for my family to relax, enjoy and bond
together especially when one of us came from an exhausting journey from work/ doing
schoolwork. Participating in this organized camping will help us strengthen our bond and
and there’s nothing can beat the fact that doing these activities with my family relieves
stress and will enlighten the feeling of each one of us. Being together is the best
experience I’ll ever have.
What I Have Learned ?
Reflection. Participating in outdoor recreational activities is important to us in order to
improve not just our bond as a family, but also in our physical health. It provides us a wide
range of physical and mental benefits such as increasing self steam, self- confidence and
helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Well, as an individual, it helps me become a
better version of myself.
