It is true that the success in any food business will depend on the quality and taste of
the food but it is also true that the service greatly influences whether a customer
returns and even recommends the place.
That is why it is important that you constantly train your waiters, that they know how
to give good customer service but above all, that they know how to sell.
Being a waiter or waitress can be a challenging job. The work is physically, mentally,
and emotionally demanding. You’re likely to spend hours on your feet, rushing about
managing several tables of customers. While the potential for higher pay through
tips, this work is not for everyone.
1. List the guidelines and tips given in this video to become a '' Good
Bartender ''.
According to the video, to be a good waiter, in general it is necessary to manage
skills and among those we can mention:
1 The personal image, that is, the hair, the nails, the uniform to promote a good
presentation or image of the restaurant
2. Effective communication, in order to avoid conflicts between the kitchen and the
waiter or the captain of the waiter.
3. Ability to suggest the right thing for the client.
4. Remember your customers when they arrive at the place and know what they
like from the moment they arrive at the table.
5. The good waiter must know how to handle complaints and know how to give
good customer service and know how to handle critical moments.
6. It is necessary to know about food and beverages to know how to make
appropriate recommendations to the client and know how to answer the questions
that the client might have.

2. In your opinion, how important is it in a hotel establishment to be a "good


waiter" in front of the customer?
They are very important for the service sector; they are the public faces of
restaurants. They greet customers and can recommend particular dishes.
3. Apart from the skills mentioned in the video, what other skill should a waiter
have in your opinion to carry out his work successfully?
The Waiter/Waitress will take orders and serve food and beverages to Guests in
restaurants. Always aware of Guest satisfaction to deliver the perfect service
experience. Ensure high quality of food and beverages to Guests. Duties and
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: servicing the Guest in a friendly,
efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Guests
must feel welcome, comfortable and well attended to at all times.

Conclusion

In this report we could see that every good waiter must have certain skills and a
good desire for service, since with these key points it is that he/she would be
performing his/her duties in the tourism sector in general.
We also learned about the many skills that characterize waiters and that with these
they make the client fall in love more and more, not only so that they are satisfied
with having chosen the restaurant, hotel or Coffee shop, but also that they want to
return.
