Constructify.com is a company working in construction industry and offers unique features


making it distinguishable from the other competitors . We are aiming to provide our customer
with the well-established houses along with additional services in the form of interior designing .
The whole business plan of ours is based on the comfort level of the customer as we are doing
everything from purchase of the raw material to transportation and up to the final structure of
home , and interior services to the one wanting it . We are offering consultancy and arrangement
of loan for the ones needing it for short-term . We will be working within the premises of
Islamabad and Rawalpindi on any location where the plot of customer is located .

Sadia Bibi is our C.E.O ( Chief Executive Officer ) and also the manager of the Operations
and Finance . The other two core management members are Saqib Liaqat ; the HR manager
( Human Resource Manager ) and Dawood Hamid ; the Marketing Manager . These three are
also the limited liability partners of the company as well and they will be handling all the core set
of activities .

The company is going to be working through an app , which means all the business will be
online . But for the sake of physical meetings for the customers to meet with the owners and
consultant . All the vendors are going to be inn contact with the heads of the company . We have
also hired professional consultants , interior designers along with assistants to help them out in
the work . There is going to be supervisor attached to every single project that will link the
contractor to the higher authority and keep check on the workers . Similarly , there is going to be
other staff for the helpline service management and other activities well .

This company is going to start in Islamabad and Rawalpindi only but we are aimed to expand our
business to the other famous cities of the country as well with the passage of time and on the rate
of return we generate .

The advertisement campaign is also been designed in a well-established way . All sort of
promotional techniques like banners , flyers , SMD’s LED screens , billboards and streamers etc.
are going to be used . The print media is also be utilized by giving ads in the newspapers .

Moreover , the social media is also be used in a productive way to promote our company as a

Operational activities

Interaction through app

As our company is going to be working online for the convenience of our customers , so first of
all there is going to be interaction with our customers through our app . As soon as the customers
download the app and log in , they will be registered with us . Specific information regarding the
customer will be acquired and customer will be able to have a look on different facilities like raw
materials and our services provided to them and their costs , different dimensions of the plots and
their locations with rates . If he/she had any query they can contact us on our help line .

Meeting with customer and order placement

As soon as the customer decides what kind of demands and desires he/she has , there will be a
meeting with the customer . This meeting will be physical keeping in view the satisfactory needs
of customers because unless you meet physically, customer would not be satisfied . Then the
customer will discuss his needs and demands and let us know about his/her choices . After
negotiation , when both parties agree on common terms, order will be placed and customer will
be asked about loan letter . If he/she has financial support by him/herself then no need for loan
letter but if he/she is not able to meet the financial requirements , loan letter offer will be made
and he/she will be provided with detail of different banks offering loan with their interest rate
and conditions .

Project start up

After everything is done , project will start . An project manager will be assigned to this project
who will carry out the whole process of construction under his/her supervision . The project
manager will devise a plan that will be a PMP and will make an estimate that how much time it
will take using PERT technique . This timing will be shared with the customer . After the project
management plan is define, next step will be the implementation of plan .

Implementation of PMP

Then there will be implementation on the project management plan devised by project manager .
Construction equipment , tools , labor and materials will be transported to the site as much
needed at a time . After the resources reach to the construction site , project will be started . The
transportation of resources to the site will be continued time to time when needed by manager .

Transportation of materials and vendor selection

The manager will make lists of things required time to time and send them to the transportation
teams . The transportation team will then get the materials required to the site from our
suppliers . We will have different suppliers of raw materials needed for construction , and
material will be acquired from the vendors selected by customers if they wanted to customize , if
not it will be acquired from those who are most reliable and have reasonable prices .

Acquisition of funds

There will be different payment plans offered to the customers . First of all there will be initial
payment before starting a project . After that there can be installment plan that will carry on
along with the project and payments will be made time to time by customer or by the bank with
whom customer decided the loan plan . And then there will be the final payment just before
completion of project .

Issuance of funds

The transportation team will hand over the receipt/bill of each delivery to the finance department
immediately after the delivery and finance department will make payments according to terms
and conditions set with vendors .

Issuance of project status reports

Project status reports will be made and will be shared to the senior management time to time by
the project manager . These reports will let us know about the status and progress being made by
the project manager . These reports will be shared will the customer as well to let them know

about completion process of project . Besides this , physical visits will also be made by senior
management to project sites in order to determine and check the facts of the reports . These
reports will also let us know that whether the things are going according to the plan or not .

Completion of project

After the structure of the house is fully developed . Customer will be provided with the interior
designing services by our professionals . The interior designing will be done according to the
preferences made by the customer and project will be completed . After the project is completed
a project completion report will be made by the project manager and different things will be
analyzed . Like if project was completed in the mentioned time or not , and is it according to the
customers preferences or not, and is customer satisfied with it .

Feedback

Feedback will be taken from customer regarding our services provided . Along with that there
will also be self check up system in which we will try to analyze our mistakes . After the
identification of mistakes being made , system will be updated with the performance of the

allocated limited resources, so they want a package that fulfills their demands as well as provide
the cost-effective factor. Our details about the dimensions in which we are working are going to

form of Lump Sum Contract . The owner has essentially assigned all the risk to the contractor ,

For the initial basis , we have selected the twin cities ; Islamabad and Rawalpindi to provide our

Constructify will Map the steps in a given process to determine areas of waste . Gather data to
discover the specific problem area that is to be addressed or transformed . Have clearly defined
goals for data collection , including defining the data to be collected, the reason for the data
gathering , insights expected , ensuring the accuracy of measurements, and establishing a
standardized data collection system . Ascertain if the data is helping to achieve the goals ,
whether or not the data needs to be refined , or additional information collected . Identify the

problem . Ask questions and find the root cause if the cause is found then apply to fix it so its
need to be done on right time .

Get Rid of the Junk

If the company Constructify identified the problem , make changes to the process to eliminate
variation, thus removing defects . Remove the activities in the process that do not add to the

Six sigma and Pakistan construction industry

Priorities of Pakistan construction industry In this step, the questions were targeted to know
about the priorities of the construction industry of Pakistan . This was aimed at paving the way
for harmonizing the current priorities of the industry and the possible inputs by Six Sigma.
Current Practices of Pakistan Construction Industry . In this step , the current practices were
collected. Both close and open ended questions were asked to know the current practices
followed in construction industry and their usefulness . This was to be compared with the
potential benefits that Six Sigma can bring if current practices are replaced by it . Six Sigma
CSFs perception of Pakistan Construction industry In this step, the previously identified CSFs
( from literature ) were ranked by the Pakistani professionals in order to know their perception
about these CSFs . In this way , the highly ranked CSFs were obtained which are later used for
preparing the influence model of Six Sigma in construction industry of Pakistan .

Barriers to six sigma in Pakistan construction

In this step , the respondents were asked to rank and report the potential barriers to Six Sigma
implementation in Pakistani construction industry . Also a generic list was provided which was
obtained from the literature and respondents were asked to report whether these barriers exist in
local construction industry . This step was aimed to compare the industry of Pakistan with its
global counterparts . Deficiencies of Pakistan Construction industry and Six Sigma Effectiveness
Finally , the respondents were asked to rank the deficiencies of Pakistani construction industry
and the effectiveness of Six Sigma in dealing with those deficiencies . The questions were both
open and close ended . This was aimed to get the opinions of professionals on how much
improvements can be brought about by implementing Six Sigma in construction industry of
Pakistan . It must be noted that not all the professionals had idea about Six Sigma . Therefore ,
after the first step in which they were asked about Six Sigma knowledge , the responses of only
those professionals were considered for further analysis who had at least basic idea about Six
Sigma . Furthermore , the basis for the analysis was set at the organizational types : government ,
semi government and private employees .

Inspection policies

Inspection Policy elements define how the main traffic analysis is done for traffic that has been
allowed and selected for deep inspection in the Access rules . They define what action the engine
takes when a match is found . We will try to detect attempts to exploit known vulnerabilities in
our systems and prevent such attempts from succeeding if the system is not patched against it .
We will closely monitor traffic that does not cause alarm on the surface , but when examined for
certain patterns, can turn out to conceal actual threats . For example, we can detect if a series of
occasional service requests are someone secretly scanning the network structure or if a spike in
traffic is a denial-of-service attack . We will try to make sure that our software systems are
protected by firewalls and our organizational systems are also protected by well grounded rules .
We can also detect other sequences in traffic , such as the use of certain applications or even

access to a particular file . We will try to track any attempts that will try to fail our systems and
remove them .

Routine inspection is essential in construction projects . Inspections help that our work within a
project proceed as planned and is according to requirements and regulations . Running a
construction site involves the coordination of workers , materials and equipment . Construction
inspections are made throughout the entire project duration to ensure that things are running
smoothly . Inspection of the construction process is done to check all the working .

Having a good location strategy will helps us to obtain the optimal location aligned to the needs


and objectives of our company , one that allows our firm to increase opportunity while reducing
costs and risks . For identifying the need of such company to occur in Rawalpindi and
Islamabad , we did some initial market research and tried to identify the gaps and possible
actions that can be taken . The kind of services that we are offering to provide are going to be

the other hand currently Rawalpindi areas are also our target and then according to the growth of
the business company will think to expand further areas.

We are focusing on the imminent two cities of the country where the people come to settle after
retirement or some come for the sake of their children’s education and career . They aren’t aware
of the challenges of the big cities and having a home here with all the facilities provided . They
really feel in need of an individual or organization , whom they can trust on in building of their
residence efficiently . Also , some are too much busy with their jobs and businesses that it
becomes impossible for them to stay 24/7 on the plot and keep an eye on the labor and check for
the inventory needed and all other stuff . The life is quite busy in cities and this can hinder in the
way for people wanting to construct hose of their desires . Our company is certainly going to be
a helping hand for them. In light of all these facts, the location is for sure has a lot of potential
for the company to grow and establish the roots strongly and also gain a lot of attention .

We will be working within the premises of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on any location where the
plot of customer is located . For the initial basis, we have selected the twin cities ; Islamabad and
Rawalpindi to provide our services and facilitate the local people . We also aim to expand our
business to other cities as well where there is a lot of margin in the construction business . For
example , if we achieve our set target, we will be moving towards Faisalabad , Karachi ,
Peshawar , etc.

1. Constructify site layout planning is an important activity that involves identifying, sizing,
and placing of facilities within the boundaries of your site location . The basic
consideration in an effective site layout planning is the smooth and low-cost flow of
materials , labor , and equipment within the site , in addition to satisfying various work

constraints and safety requirements . This methodology aims at supporting the three
decisions related to site layout planning : identifying necessary facilities and determining
their sizes ; determining the inter-relationships among the facilities and optimizing the
placement of the facilities on the site .

2. The layout of your workplace is extremely important , because the wrong layout can
restrict staff and hinder productivity , while the right layout can help your team to carry
out their tasks more effectively and boost productivity and even creativity .

3. Our business is related to the online activities but we will have physical offices and
warehouse as well . We will try to develop such a layout plan that will help us in
reducing our costs . We will have specific desks for the worker in the management and
separate office rooms for senior management as well as for the project managers . We
will have separate meeting rooms and also have an informal area or room for casual
meeting and discussions . The offices and desks will be set in such a way that there is
smooth flow of information . In the front , there will be reception desk that will receive
the customers and arrange their meeting with the officials .

effective plan will help reduce its complexity . In our business , operations start from when a
customer approaches us with a predefined budget through app . It involves procurement of
material from cost effective suppliers and then doing contracts with the builders to provide labor
and finally finishing it with the décor facility , which is totally customized and is highly
dependent of customer budget . The kind of our business is dealing both in the products and
services , as in we are building houses ( product ) delivering it on-time to the customers along
with providing consultancy and interior designing facility ( services ) as well.

The business is formed by keeping in mind the lower-middle class who face problems like
finance and supervision in construction . So , this company will provide them all the ease on its
own end. This has been possible as the company designed all services by keeping in mind the
customer complications . The main thing is company will provide the customization to the
market according to the convenience, budget and suitability of them . Constructify is focused on
targeting areas like Rawalpindi and Islamabad . As in Islamabad there are high rates of land , it’s

and lower class is more conscious about the prices of the product and services so we have tend to

to avail the services . Being an online business, we decided that we will reduce our fixed asset to
minimum and to work more effectively we will efficiently use our main current assets that is

will define their requirement to us before ordering . Traditionally the emphasis has been very
much on design and construction .

 Technical skills in the area offices should focus on data collection , facility inspection
and evaluation , and routine operations and maintenance .
 If we want to earn more business then we have to invest time and money into our
company . This means that there is buying of new equipment and technology when
required , training of employees and actively marketing of our business .
 Good project management is key to improving profitability . this means that if we want to
hit our profit goal on a project then we have to keep your costs down and finish the
project within the planned completion date .
 There should be no additional work on a project until a price has been decided upon and
it has been approved by the client .
 One of the key to success in the construction industry is adaptability as construction is a
quite a volatile industry. If we will not make adjustments in our business to keep up with
the changing trends then we are setting ourself towards failure .
 Pleasing the clients should be a top priority and for this purpose we should be actively
communicating with our client on all aspects of a project so they can be equal partners in
the decision-making process .
 Cutting corners to reduce costs speed up for completion of a project can be
