 Liceo de Los Baños is known as the only Catholic School in Los

Baños. And as one of school activities they held an Educational Tour

for the school year 2016-2017 in Ocean Adventure.

As a yearly activity, most of the students was encouraged to

join

even the freshmen students. Well, elementary students also joined but

of course, they must have companion(s).

The Educational Tour was held on October 23,2016, Sunday.

Assembly was 4:15 in the morning and after 15 minutes was the

departure.

I heard a lot of excitement in the students. Some of them did

not

sleep because of excitement. They would not stop talking about their

snacks even talking about their pack lunch.

 In this year’s Educational Tour, the tourist bus that the school

ridden is under the agent company Educatours. Like the usual, each

bus has its tourist guide or tour guide. The tour guide is the who tells

trivia about each places or landmarks that may come in their way to

Ocean Adventure.

The Educatours buss left Los Baños at 5:00 in the morning. All

of the students,teachers, and parents asked God’s guidance in their

trip by praying the Holy Rosary.

In the itinerary, their first stopped was in Balagtas Shell in

Balagtas Bulacan. The name Balagtas was after the name of one of

the famous writer Francisco Balagtas, who wrote Florante at Laura.

In their stop over, they had the chance to take their personal time in

the comfort room. Some had their breakfast in the fast food chains
available there. After twenty minutes all of the students got back to

their respective bus. Then, they left the Balagtas Shell at 6:30 in the

morning.

It was 8: 45 in the morning when they arrived in the next

itinerary, the San Guillermo Church located in Pampanga.

According to my research and the trivia of the tourist guide,

the

Church is

named

San

Guillermo,

the patron

saint

of Bacolor,

Pampanga. The church was originally constructed by the Augustinians

Friars in 1576.
 But the Church was destroyed by the eruption of Mount

Pinatubo in 1991.The lahar flow buried the Church 12 meters

height, half of the church.

contains the history of the church. It contains the history of the

These are some old paintings when Mount Pinatubo erupted.
 The paintings and pictures above showed the experiences of the

residents when mount Pinatubo erupt. But still the great damage in
the church did not stop the people in losing their. They rebuilt their
church and now it is one of the historic church in the Philippines.

Also, inside the

museum we can see some
statues of Saints. And the
students were given the
time to pray. Some
students wished on

the wishing well at the back

of the historic church.
 The students took pictures as their remembrance of the historic
church.
 After they went to San Guillermo Church, they’re on their

way to Subic, Zambales which the Ocean Adventure is located.

They were able to see the Subic Lake.

It was a couple of hours to finally get in to Subic. So, it was

lunch

time. They had their lunch at Morong gate in Subic.

The Subic is really a wonderful place. Anywhere you look is a

the forest with beautiful wild animals. There are bats which 3 feet
wide when they spread their wings.
Another trivia is that Subic was the first place in the

Philippines where the first Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)

Summit was held.

At !2:45 in the afternoon, they are on their way to Ocean

Adventure. And they arrived at !:00 in the afternoon.

At Ocean Adventure, you will experience a life under the sea.

Because it shows how sea creatures live under the sea and how we can
help to save them. It goes to their theme that nature must be keep
and not to abuse it.
 A wonderful life experience awaits to anyone who will be at the

Ocean Adventure in Subic. They have a beautiful sea creatures that

they trained. And all these creatures give entertainment to all the
audience inside of every shows.

of God. At the Ocean

Adventure they have a musical play

about the goddess, Aman Sinaya. It is a
legend of the Ocean where in humans
abuse the nature. Then, the sea
creatures asked for a help from Aman
Sinaya. And with Aman Sinaya’s
husband they gain the
peace to their Ocean.
 Ocean

Adventure showed beautiful sea creatures inside their

Aquarium like sea lions, jelly fish and sharks. They called this
station as the Sea Trek. Because most of the sea creatures
inside the aquarium are sharks. All these sea creatures only eat
edible frozen fishes.

Also, they have amazing 3D Art paintings which show big

creatures under the sea. Some paintings will appear to your picture
that you are like being eaten by sharks.
 Inside the Ocean Adventure also has the Eco Theater. It is a

show to tell everyone that we should love animals.

The Eco Theater has an organization called Wildlife in Need

(WIN) Rescue Center. It is an organization which aims to save animals

from torture or danger that can eliminate its lives.

The theater also give an example on how to survive in the

Jungle. Sony taught the audience how to make fire using dried
bamboo. Sony is an aeta. He starts with getting some tiny bamboo
strips from the dried bamboo. And you will cover the tiny strips with
the dried bamboo and you will try to rub it hard, blow it until it
produce fire.

After Sony’s teaching, they showed an owl named George. George’s

color is light brown. It flew really strong. And the host entertained
people by showing that George can speak.
 There is also a bear cat named Luna. Luna only eat bananas
and mangos.

The next one that showed up is a bat. It is considered as the

largest bat in the world. This bat’s name is Bamboo. It flew around
the coliseum and showed its 3 feet long wings

The show went crazy

when the host said that the
snake cannot find and it
might be under anywhere
inside the small coliseum.
But of course, they just
scared people. Lea showed
up. A snake which is more
than 5 feet long. Lea has a
smooth and dry skin. It is
according to the volunteer who was called up to stage.

Furthermore, they showed up a sea eagle named Cherry, a trained

dog named Chichi, and Anthony- a bird that has the ability to get
your money and can return it back.
 One of the
exciting shows is the Dolphin
Show. It was amazing for
everyone to be able to see dolphins that can walk, dance, and can be
used as surfing board.
 And after all
those amazing
shows there is
another one
that gave an
entertainment
to us. These last
show that we
have been inside
the Ocean
Adventure is the cutest show I have ever seen aside from the dolphins
of course. The last show is the Sea Lion Marine Patrol Headquarters.

The cute sea lions greeted and entertained us by setting up a

competition with a volunteer audience. The volunteer named Roel will

try to do whatever the sea lions does. But it so happens that the
volunteer cannot jump in to water because he knew that he will get

sweat. But the

volunteer was
given another option, it is to slide on the ground but it is too slippery
and he was accidentally slipped and went into the water. So, the sea
lion won.

Moreover, the show is about how we can keep the Ocean clean.
Instead of throwing garbage or waste into water let’s go to more
environment friendly way. It is by reducing, recycling, and reuse.
