Read the text where Mandy is talking about what she did last Saturday.
I love swimming! Last Saturday morning I had a swimming lesson at
my town’s swimming pool. After the lesson, I looked at my mobile
phone. My friend Marissa texted me “Come to Ice Cream Café”.
I don’t know the centre because I am new here but the bus driver
helped me. When I arrived at the café, I was
surprised because Marissa wasn’t there.
There was just one waiter in the café and
there wasn’t any music. It was very boring! I
wanted to phone Marissa but my mobile
phone wasn’t in my bag. So I went back to the
swimming pool. Yes! My phone was there and
I phoned Marissa. Guess what? There were
two Ice Cream Cafés in the centre,
I went to the second café and I met Marissa and one of her friends
there. That day, we ate a delicious pie, drank milkshakes and took
some selfies. We had a wonderful time!

that we went to the supermarket, we bought some vegetables and other things. When we
came home, my sister and I walked the dog. Later, my father and I washed the car. In the
afternoon, I played video games and my little sister Jeanette met her friend to play with
