Bens First Day in School


Yesterday was Bens first day in a new school. He was afraid because he

did not know anyone there. All his friends were in his old school.

During recess a girl called out to him. Hi, Im Lisa, she said . Come

and join us. we are going to play tumbang preso, she added.

Ben eagerly joined Lisa and her friends. He is happy now.

Si Melissa
Malakas ang ulan. Habang naghihintay si Melissa ng dyip ay may isang
babaeng dumating na walang paying . Pinasukob ni Melissa sa paying ang
babae hanggang sa pareho na silang nakasakay sad yip. Nagpasalamat ang
babae sa kabutihang loob na ipinakita ni Melissa.

The Wicked Witch

Once upon a time there lived a wicked witch in a small old house.
Children were afraid of her . She used to bake poisonous but delicious-looking
cookies for them. But the children did not go near her house. They would not
even set foot on her small , dirty yard.

One day the Goddess of Children learned of what the wicked witch was
doing. She got angry with the witch she waved her hand and everything bad
about the witch was changed to good.

BAITANG III
Ang Aking Alkansiya
Araw-araw maaga akong gumising upang ihanda ang sarili sa pagpasok.
Naliligo. Nagbibihis ng damit pampaaralan.

Araw-araw , paglabas ko sa aking silid , dumideretso ako sa aming kusina


. Sa hapag kainan, doon ko makikita ang masarap na almusal na luto ng aking
Nanay.

Matapos kumain , sasabay na ako kay tatay sa pagpasok sa paaralan.

Isang araw, paglabas ko sa aming silid-kainan wala si Nanay. Wala ring


masarap na almusal. Kayat hinanap ko si nanay.

Nakita ko siya sa kanilang silid- tulugan.

Umiiyak. May sakit pala si Tatay at kailangang dalhin sa ospital. Bumalik


ako sa aking kuwarto. Pinahid ko ang aking luha at kinuha ang aking alkansiya.

Iniabot koi to kay Nanay. At isang mahigpit na yakap ang kanyang


ibinigay sa akin.

THE CAT WHO BECOMES A WOMAN


Once there was a cat that fell in love with a man. The man was young and
handsome. The cat went to Venus, the goddess of love and beauty and pleaded
with her. The cat wanted to be transformed into a beautiful woman. Venus, after
hearing the cats predicament , gave in to her request.

When the young man saw the lovely woman , he asked her to be his wife.
They lived happily together.

One day , Venus decided to pay a visit to the woman to find out if she
really had changed her ways as a cat. Upon seeing the woman , Venus let loose
a mouse in the womans house. When the woman saw the mouse , she quickly
ran after it.

Venus was shocked and saddened bay what he saw . She decided right
there and then to change the woman back into a cat.

Kanya-Kanyang Talento
Isang araw inakbayan ng Nanay si Dino. Anak may kaniya-kaniyang
galing at talino ang tao. Maaaring hindi ang galing sa paglalaro ng basketbol
ang para sa inyo. Sa nakikita kong husay mo sa pagtugtog ng piyano, masasabi
kong iyan ang likas mong talino, malumanay na wika ng ina.

Ngayony tanggap ko na po. Hangang-hanga ako kay Romy sa husay


niyang maglaro ng basketbol. Hangang-hanga naman siya sa akin sa galling ko
sa pagtugtog ny piyano. Talaga ngang may kaniya-kanya kaming galing.

Oo, kaya ang dapat ay pagtuunan mo pa ng pansin ang iyong pagsasanay


sa pagtugtog.

Opo, Nanay , lalo na ngayong kalahok ako sa paligsahan. Hindi ko


bibiguin ang aking mga gurong naniniwala sa akin.

BAITANG VI

Ang Biogas
Nagkalat ang mga basura sa paligid. Nagdadala ito ng sakit at mabahong
amoy. Nakakapagparumi pa ito ng kapaligiran. Ngunit alam ba ninyong ngayon
ay may pakinabang na sa mga basura.

Ginagamit na ngayon angmga basura tulad ng mga bulok na gulay ,


prutas, dumi ng hayop at mga natutunaw na bagay sa paggawa ng biogas.

Ang biogas ay ginagamit sa pagluluto ng pagkain. Ginagamit din itong


gas sa mga ilawan . Pinatatakbo nito ang mga makinarya tulad ng traktora,
generator, bomba at tubig. Ginagamit din ang biogas bilang pataba sa mga
taniman at palayan.

Go On, Keep On!


Jimbos teacher in piano was to hold concert and Jimbo was given two
tickets for himself and his mother. Before the concert started Jimbo excused
himself when the curtain opened , Jimbo still had not returned . But the lights
went on, Jimbos mother saw him seated before the piano. She became confused
His teacher did not also know what to make of the incident.

Then Jimbo started to play stopped and looked at his teacher . The teacher
encouraged him to go on Jimbo again played and looked at his teacher. She
encouraged him further. Jimbo continued to play, and finally the teacher sat

beside him and they played together.

It was the best part of the concert.

POLLUTED RIVER
I live in Roxas District and our house is near a river. Across the river are
houses built by squatters. I have noticed that the color of the water in the river
is muddy brown. Oftentimes, I see plastic bags, Styrofoam and bottles floating
on the river. Because of these things floating, the water in the river does not
flow fast. I do not see any fish living in it. I believed this is because the water is
already polluted by the waste thrown by the people who live along the river.

Makasaysayang Bayan sa Bulacan


Halinang mamasyal sa makasaysayang lalawigan ng Bulacan tulad ng
San Miguel at Malolos. Ito ay mga pook na karamihang magigiting na bayani
ng himagsikan.

Isang pangunahing atraksyon ng San Miguel ang mga bahay na tisa na


itinayo noong panahon ng Espaol. Ilan sa matatandang tahanan ditto ang
tahanang pag-aari ni Dr. Maximo Viole, ang tumulong kay Rizal sa paglilimbag
ng Noli Me Tangere at mansiyon ng pamilyang de Leon Sevilla at ang mga
tahanan ng mga Tecsonat Siojo na tinuluyan ni Heneral Emelio Aguinaldo
noong gabi bago siya tumungong Hongkong.

Nasa Malolos naman ang matandang simbahan ng Barasoain na


pinagganapan ng Kongreso ng Malolos na naging Unang Republika ng Pilipinas
noong 1899.
