Ad Daily Budget

Ad Sales

Ad Spend

Ad Status
The current status of your ad group. Your ad group could be running, paused,
ended, archived, scheduled, incomplete, out of a budget, or payment failure.
Ad Status: Archived
An unavailable campaign which can not be paused or enabled.
Ad Status: Paused
A campaign that will not show in ad placements but can be unpaused any time.
Ad Status: Running
A campaign you are currently pay for that will show in ad placements.
A/B Testing
The method of testing two different website/product listings to compare and
contrast sales metrics and see which listing has a higher sales conversion. (A.K.A:
"split testing")
Affiliate Marketing
A marketing agreement by which an online retailer pays a commission to an
external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals.
Algorithm
a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving
operations, especially by a computer.
Alibaba
One of the biggest e-commerce companies based in China. For Amazon FBA
sellers, this is a website which acts as a third party platform between private label
businesses and global suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.
AMZ
An abbreviation for Amazon
Average Price
In the Helium 10 or Viral Launch Chrome Extension, the median sales price of
products on the displayed search page. This is calculated by adding the lowest
sales price for each product on the search page, then dividing that sum by the
total number of available entries.
Average Reviews
In the Helium 10 or Viral Launch chrome extension, the median review count of
products on the displayed search page. This is calculated by adding the review
counts for each product on the search page, then dividing that sum by the total
number of available entries.
B
Amazon's Best Sellers Ranking (BSR)
The rank that Amazon gives products based on their sales volume. Each category
has its own ranking and each BSR is updated hourly. BSR can be found in the
product details box on a listing.
Bid+
A Sponsored Products feature that increases the opportunity for your ads to show
in the top of search results. When Bid+ is turned on, Amazon will increase the
default bid for your ads by up to 50% when they compete for the top of search
results location (provided they are eligible to show there).For example, if your
default bid is $.50, Bid+ can raise your bid as high as $.75 to compete for
impressions at the top of search results.You can turn on Bid+ for any manually
targeted campaign.

Brand
A type of product manufactured by a particular company under a particular name.
Brand Registry
The Amazon Brand Registry helps you protect your registered trademarks on
Amazon and create an accurate and trusted experience for customers. Currently,
brands must have a registered trademark to be eligible for enrollment.
Business-to-business (B2B)
Business that is conducted between companies.
Bundle
When a listing on Amazon combines multiple DIFFERENT products together, to
create ONE new product listing.
Buy Box
This is the spot on Amazon where a buyer can do a “one click” purchase. Also
called a feature seller.
C
Category
The placement within Amazon to categorize products in similar niches and
markets. Products can have both a broad category placement (also called
departments) and one or more sub-category placements Some categories are
restricted to new sellers and others are open to all sellers.
CamelCamelCamel.com (CCC)
A site where you can see the price and rank history of a product when doing
product research.
Cerebro
A keyword research tool offered by Helium 10 that allows you to reverse search a
products ASIN and see what keywords the product is ranking for
Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
The percent of shoppers who see your sponsored ad and click on it. This is
calculated by dividing total clicks by total impressions.
Cost-Per-Click (CPC)
The actual price you pay each time a customer clicks on your sponsored ad.
Cost-Per-Mil/Thousand/Impression (CPM/CPI)
The price you pay each time 1,000 people view your ad.
Coupons
A discount for Amazon shoppers. As an Amazon seller, you can use the coupon
program to offer discounts on your products.
Crowdfunding
The practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of
money from a large number of people, typically via crowdfunding websites like
GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo
Customs Clearance
The act of passing goods through the official department that administers and
collects the duties levied by a government on imported goods.

Duty Tax
A tax levied by a government on imported and exported goods and services.
E
Early Reviewer Program
An Amazon program that encourages shoppers who have already purchased a
product to leave authentic feedback of their experience regardless of whether it's
a 1 or 5-star review.
Export
The process of sending goods or services to another country for sale.
Ex Works (EXW)
Sometimes shown as EXW or ExWorks is a widely used international shipping
term or Incoterm where the buyer is responsible for the whole shipment from
door to door. All costs and liabilities are with the buyer.

Fulfilled-by-Amazon (FBA)
A service offered by Amazon which allows third party sellers to store their
products in Amazon's fulfillment centers. When a sale is made on Amazon,
Amazon will pick, pack, ship, and handle customer service on behalf of the third
party seller.

a person or company that organizes shipments for individuals or corporations to
get goods from the manufacturer or producer to a market, customer or final point
of distribution
Fulfillment Fee
The cost Amazon charges to pick, pack, and ship your product through its FBA
service.

Gated Category
A locked category that require sellers to get prior approval from Amazon.
Giveaway Promo
An Amazon promotion template which allows you to offer your products for free
to generate buzz or build a social media following.
Gross Profit
The profit a company makes after deducting the costs associated with making and
selling its products, or the costs associated with providing its services.

Headline Search Ad
Amazon ad placements which appear at the top of search results. To qualify for a
headline a search ad, you must have a registered brand a minimum of three
products available for that brand.

Incorporated (INC)

Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and are widely used in commercial transactions.
Inventory
These are the products which you have listed and available for sale on Amazon.

A string of characters that are put together into a phrase that describes

Kickstarter
A popular crowdfunding platform.

Landing Page
The section of a web-page accessed by clicking the page's hyperlink, typically the
home page of the website.
Lightning Deals
A time-bound, promotional offer where a product is featured for several hours on
the Amazon Deals page.
Listing
A product page where shoppers buy your product on Amazon. In a product listing,
there are photos, a title, bullet points, a description and reviews

A keyword research tool offered by Helium 10 that allows you to find similar
keywords within in a market that buyers are using to describe the product they’re
searching for.
Multi-pack
When a listing on Amazon includes multiples of the SAME product and they are
then sold as one unit.

Net Profit (AKA Profit Margin)
The amount of profit you have left in your business after taking out all operating
expenses, including the cost of goods and Amazon fees
Niche
The subset of the market on which a specific product serves that given market

previously known as OzForex is an Australian online foreign exchange and
payments company with headquarters in Sydney.
Online Arbitrage
The process of sourcing products cheaply on one e-commerce platform for sale on
another e-commerce platform at a higher price.
Opt-in
An opt-in gives a potential customer the choice to become involved with (usually
a newsletter or messenger list) from the website.

Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)
Amazon’s sponsored ad program where sellers can run ads to their product
listings. Sellers pay by the click.
Performance Notifications
A page in seller central that offers up information on how you are doing with
respect to Amazon customer satisfaction.
Price
The amount of money required to purchase a product.
Private Label
A product manufactured or packaged for sale under the name of the retailer
rather than that of the manufacturer.
Product Listing Grader
A free tool offered by junglescout.com that gives a listing quality score (LQS) for
an Amazon product listing page.
Promotions
A series of discount and giveaway options offered to Amazon sellers to promote
sales and social media growth.

Referral Fee
Referral Fee is a percentage of your total item price (and gift wrap charges if

Storefront
A service from Amazon that allows vendors and sellers to create their own brand

When an Amazon.com user leaves a product review without first purchasing the
respective product, it is considered an "unverified review". Unverified reviews
have less credibility and builds less buyer trust.
Upsell
A sales technique where a seller suggests the customer to purchase more
expensive items, upgrades or other add-ons in an attempt to make a more
profitable sale.
