XI. Class Policies:

a. Students are allowed three (3) absences (excused and unexcused). If
the number of absences exceeds this, the student obtains a grade of
“DRP” and no course credit.
b. Special examinations are given only to student with valid reasons
(and supporting documents) such as death of an immediate family
member and incidents requiring hospitalization.
c. Cases of student misconduct will be handled in accordance to the
guidelines and procedures stipulated in Rules on Conduct and
Discipline of the TUP Student Handbook.
d. Cellphones should be in silent mode and out of sight for the duration
of the class as the mere presence of one’s own smartphone reduces
available cognitive capacity for complex task. The use of laptop is
permitted only for class purposes (such as research and technical
paper writing).
e. Observe punctuality in coming to class.
f. Requirements and assignments will be accepted on the date they are
due. Late submission will not be accepted.
g. Students must notify the lecturer when leaving the room is necessary
(e.g answering phone calls, going to the restroom).

XII. Students with special needs:

A student with special medical needs is advised to inform the lecturer as to how
he/she can best assist him/her. All information related to such medical need shall be
considered confidential.
