Past Continuous Tense

Fungsi Past Continuous Tense

 Past Continuous Tense berguna untuk menyatakan suatu aktivitas yang terjadi di masa lalu.
Contoh: I was crying when you left me alone yesterday (Aku menangis saat kau meninggalkanku
sendirian kemarin)
 Fungsi dari Past Continuous Tense juga adalah untuk menunjukkan ada aktivitas yang
terjadi (Simple past tense) bersamaan dengan aktivitas yang lebih panjang durasinya
sedang terjadi. Contoh : My sister was studying when someone knocked the door (Saudara
perempuanku sedang belajar ketika seseorang mengetuk pintu)
 Past Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan kebiasaan dari seseorang yang
diulangi beberapa kali. Contoh: You was always bullying her no matter what (Kau selalu mem-
buli dia tak peduli apapun)
