About The Project 84


The key goal of the exercise if to create a state of the art “Public Library”, which would be able to cater to a
university of strength about 10,000 students. The library would house world class facilities for imparting
knowledge to the students. The Library is hereby envisioned to be a beacon of light for the neighbourhood.

Location and Accessibility
The proposed site for “Public Library” is situated in Delhi, India. It is located in the South-west district of

Delhi, Near sector 17 Dwarka. The site is situated about 18km from the IGI International Airport, and is
about 30 km from the New Delhi railway station. The nearest railway station to the site is the Hazrat 4
Nizamuddin Railway station which is about 29 km from the site.

Site Surroundings
The site has immense potential as it is located at the centre of a educational and residential hub, as a
result of which it is surrounded by a number of higher learning institutes and schools. As such making the
site a very viable option for a “Public Library”. In Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University and National
