Setting up Remote Access

Using the UltraVNC Software

• When the viewer is running, you have control over the destination computer.
• There is a slight delay between issuing commands and receiving a response from the destination computer.
• If a program does not start immediately after you click an icon, do not continue to click the icon.
• Sending key combinations, such as Ctrl-Alt-Del, is accomplished by clicking the Send Ctrl-Alt-Del button at the
top of the Viewer window.
• A connection made through a modem:
– Is slower than a connection made through a network connection.
– Displays images at a lower resolution by default. Increasing the resolution of the display will make the
connection too slow to use.
• If you need to check the image quality of an image over a modem connection, it is recommended that the image
be saved to the destination computer, and then transferred to the TSC using the File Transfer option of the
Viewer software.
